  • I just made this. I used pureed dates instead of splenda and neufchatel cheese instead of the fat free cream cheese. Eh, it was okay. The texture is much more like pumpkin pie than bread. I couldn't taste the cream cheese either. I'll enjoy finishing the batch but won't make it again.

  • Along the lines of bodyrock.tv, I've found www.fitnessbender.com. She's going to be an occupational therapists and posts some great workouts - yoga, cardio and circuits. It's all free and the site is a bit easier for me to look at with my teenage son around then bodyrock is. :)

  • My HDL levels were excellent in my last test. The only thing I can think of (besides general diet and exercise) is nuts. I've read that nuts help your HDL levels and I've been eating a lot more raw nuts lately.

  • I like the So Delicious Unsweetened coconut milk. It's only 50 calories for one cup (less than skim milk) but is entirely fat (no sugar!); it adds a really great creaminess to my smoothies. I don't really drink it straight; it's okay, but I prefer water.
