Repeating over and over " nothing tastes as good as healthy feels". Also, I have two pictures of myself in my living room... one is me running a half marathon last October when I was 35 lbs lighter than I am right now and the other is from many years ago when I was almost 100lbs lighter. The pictures are in a wall unit…

It has been a struggle for me this week. But everyday I wake up and I am glad I stayed the course. For the last few days I have been chanting -" nothing tastes as good as healthy feels"... over and over. I still have a lot of weight to lose but I just feel better when I eat healthy food. Junk food makes me feel terrible…

Congrats! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.

Go for the leaf raking. Last week, my HRM showed I burned 259 calories raking for 30 minutes.

It is ridiculous that you should not expect to get to your prepregnancy weight if it is a healthy weight for your height/frame size. Go for it and don't let the nay-sayers stop you.

Fiber! Plus it is closer to the whole grain so it contains more nutrients. Plus it tastes way better.

Sigh... last year 16, this year 20W... but found myself yanking them up yesterday so maybe close to getting back into 18 and the 16 will not be far behind. Hope to be back in 8/10 by next Thanksgiving.

Work stress/frustration is the number one culprit for me.

Count me in. I HATE strength training so a group like this is exactly what I need to keep me going. SW = 217.8

I did... .down .4 lbs. I made everything except the stuffing and pie, of which I has a normal portion of both. Other than that everything was low sodium with no added sugar, salt or white flour. Was satisified after dinner without being stuffed. Nice to wake up this morning and not be bloated.

Wow. You look amazing. Congrats on your race today.

I love my freedom and being able to do whatever I want when I want. There are a handful of days when I wish I had someone in my life. I have always said that when I find the man of my dreams we will need a duplex cause sometimes I just don't need anyone breathing the same air.

Been there, done that. Last year I lost 47 lb and then I let the job stress get to me and I gained 50. The week before Halloweeen, I recommitted to my health and weightloss. Glad to hear that you are back on the journey.

When I was on a medically supervised diet, most fruit was 1 cup but the serving size for grapes was 9 grapes due to the sugar content.

3-5 lbs... most goes away within 2 days.

I'm with Sp1nG... the first mile sucks. After that, I love it. I, too, hate the heat and treadmills. I love running in the winter. There is something so peaceful about running while it is snowing (nice gentle snow, not a blizzard).

You aren't going to lose 5 lbs of fat in a day. It is probably water weight. How much sodium and processed food are you consuming. This can cause you to retain water.

I am 5'7" and was 120 lb when I graduated from high school. I current goal is get down to at least 140 and then I will see how I feel.

Two bites of anything I want won't destroy all my progress. It's all about portion control. I am confused by everyone that says they are not going to log because they want to enjoy themselves. The enjoy the way I am eating now. And I know that this needs to be a lifestyle change for me or I will just end up back where I…

Mixed berries and allspice. Sometimes I add a heaping tablespoon of chocolate protein powder after it is cooked. Sometimes I add uncooked oatmeal to my morning smoothie (1 cup mixed berries, 1/3 cup oatmeal, cinnamon, protein powder, spinach)

LOVE my Kindle. I have the second generation. I love the whispernet and the ability to download a book anytime anywhere in under a minute. Love the option to read a sample. I read so many books I sometimes forget that I read something. Sometimes I read the sample and realize I already read the book - paper version because…

You look great... congrats on your success so far. You are an inspiration to all of us.

Subbing mashed cauliflower/turnip for mashed potatoes. Free-range turkey (none of those salting additives that ButterBall uses). Finally perfected my sugar free cranberry sauce. 2 cups cranberries 1 honey crisp apple finely diced (1/4" dice) 1/2 tablespoon orange peel 1/2 teaspoon allspice 1 cup of water (split into 2…

Good job... and stick with the darker hair.

Congrats on all your hard work!

I live in the suburbs. I usually run from my house. Sometimes on the weekend I drive to a park that is about 15 miles away so that I can get some hill work in. When I run first thing in the morning, I grab a handful of dried fruit as I am heading out the door. I run with my dog so I feel relatively safe even in the early…

You need to just look at your first picture and the last one... there is a huge difference. You look great. Keep up the good work.

It is sad, isn't it? I have yet to find a restaurant salad that is less than 700 calories except those small side salads, which usually just have iceberg lettuce (yuck) with a slice of cucumber and a sad looking piece of tomato.
