  • Well, it could be food poisoning... ... Or your body is probably just not used to such fatty/sweet food anymore. I can't eat beef or anything fried anymore without having stomach issues soon after. However, depending on your amount of pain, I'd check with a Doctor!
  • If you have a local Farmer's Market you'll likely pay a lot less for produce, deli and milk than you will at a regular grocery store. If you have an Aldi's Grocery store nearby, check it out! They have a nice variety of healthy items, a triple money back guarentee if you don't like anything you buy, and their food is…
  • I would err on the safe side and go for moderation and making smarter choices, ie buying/making healthier versions of the things you like. For instance I used to eat 2 bagels with way too much cream cheese for breakfast; now I'll have 1 whole wheat english muffin + 2 tblspon light cream cheese and maybe a banana and cup of…
  • I usually go for a small handful of nuts (1/2 serving), 1 cup of 2% milk if I haven't had any that day already, or wheat wafers + garlic cheese wedge. If I have it, I've found that watermelon is super filling - guessing because of the water content?
  • If I'm going to just be drinking milk by itself, I stick with 2% cow milk for sure. I'm not a big fan of the taste of almond milk. HOWEVER, almond milk tastes great in cereal - can't really tell a difference between that and cow milk!
  • I like to cut them into 4 sections (down the middle, then horizontally). I then load them with some peanut butter - usually less than 2 tablespoon per entire banana. Sandwich them together, bag 'em, and freeze 'em. They're a great snack and the texture is almost exactly like ice cream! ps - what works for me is to keep…
  • If you're eating all fat-free dairies like I was, I would at least switch to the low-fat variety. I was drinking almond and soy milk for a while and went back to 2% milk - not only do I actually ENJOY 2% milk, it doesn't come anywhere close to putting me too high in sugars, calories etc for the day. Also don't be afraid to…
  • I have never made a crepe in my life. I just wanted to post that when I read the title of this post, I thought it said "Creeps".... LOL
  • I agree with the OP. Before I started eating better, I would almost never feel hungry because I was eating all the time. Now I actually do feel hunger once or twice a day and I actually enjoy it, because it's a nice reminder that no I have not been stuffing my face all day like I used to! Also agree with the water. I've…
  • Over 100 lbs. I've only been eating right and working out for ~2 months so far.
  • If your heart rate isn't increasing while you're cleaning, then I doubt you're burning off too many extra calories (ie beyond what your body naturally burns throughout the day). I usually only log cleaning if I've done a lot of vacuuming and sweeping, and I adjust what MFP tells me down by a lot.
  • Shoprite Brand Fat Free Mayo. GROSS! Also, Silk Lite Soy Milk (please don't hate me soy milk lovers!) Ooh and I forgot plain greek yogurt. The only time I tried it plain was Fage, but wow did it leave a bitter aftertaste.
  • Mrs Dash No Salt is great! Also, you'd be surprised what a little black pepper, garlic powder or lemon juice can do.
  • ^ This. I'm at 53g of sugar today and all of it is from dairy and fruit!
  • I usually have a greek yogurt, cup of almond milk and either oatmeal or some scrambled egg whites with mushroom... but lately I've been kinda bad and eating a light english muffin with lite cream cheese... so delicious!
  • I would just try to limit at as there are studies out there linking aspartame and high fructose corn syrup to all kinds of bad things. I tend to stick to splenda-sweetened soda when I do get it, but who knows, Splenda is probably bad for you too. Like everything else, I'd say it's all about moderation.
  • Although the small popcorn at some theater's are reasonable, I would check first. My local Regal Cinemas has a small popcorn with 29g of fat even without butter! Try raisins, berries, almonds/nuts, apples, granola bars and/or celery + peanut butter (get the to-go packs or just put in a small tupperware). I love being able…
  • I put it in under "Create an exercise" and used the equation that I found on livestrong.com and also elsewhere in MFP forums... to multiply your weight by 1.11 Of course a more accurate way to know your calories burned is to buy a heartrate monitor, but the weight x 1.11 seems to be the best estimation otherwise.
  • Here are some fun exercises for you: Frisbee Badminton Rollerskating Biking Walking/Hiking Tennis Workout videos from youtube (Leslie Sansone's Walk at Home is very easy for beginners, but still burns ~100 cal per mile)
  • There are lots of good workouts on YouTube. Right now I am doing Leslie Sansone's Walk at Home series (1 mile, 2 mile, 3 mile and 5 mile videos). Soon I'm going to start JM's 30 Day Shred. If you have a Five & Below near you, they have a nice little variety of weights from 1-5lb + ankle/wrist and hand weights... plus other…
  • Try green leaf lettuce or baby spring mix. I hated salads for most of my life and just recently realized it's just iceberg lettuce that I hate with a passion. I make salads with green leaf lettuce almost every day now and love them - I add almonds & chicken so that they're a little higher in calories too.
  • Exactly. This is why I made mine public as well
  • The bff and I started doing Leslie Sansone's Walk at Home series and are planning on starting the 30 day shred soon. We do this in the comfort of our living room. I will probably still go to the small gym in our apartment complex on occasion (free) but the cardio workouts on YouTube are much more fun than just doing cardio…
  • I did Leslie Sansone's 1 Mile Walk followed by her 2 mile walk today, it was great! I'm planning on doing her walks everyday for a week or so before trying JM's 30 Day Shred. BUMP for more ideas/suggestions for other cardio-machine haters out there
  • I think some of the best advice I've gotten so far is that if I feel hungry, try drinking some water first. Often you'll mistake thirst for hunger. If I'm still hungry, I'll go for carrots or a string cheese and usually that satisfies me. If all else fails, I'll get up and do some sort of activity (load of dishes, etc) and…
  • Egg whites (and the occasional yolk) Chicken Tuna Salads (green leaf lettuce = win) Cheese (usually laughing cow stuff or lite string cheese) Greek yogurt Carrots Almonds Bananas Oatmeal
  • I like oatmeal but I don't eat it every day. Often I'll just have a banana and greek yogurt if I'm running late, but otherwise I love to do scrambled eggs with salsa and/or mushrooms, plus turkey bacon on the side.
  • I'm right there with ya. I'm tired of feeling like I have to stay on one machine for 30 minutes or more to get any results. Youtube workout videos seems to be the way to go!
  • Thanks all! I just did the Leslie Sansone 1 Mile Walk at Home ... that was great!
