How has nobody mentioned freakin' awesome dark chocolate yet? Or did I totally miss it?
-
Interesting. I'm going to have to track and see if mine starts dropping or not.
-
Teehee. In her list of comments from clients at the beginning is, "I finally succeeded in losing ten pounds."

OH, also taking the alcohol out of the fridge, because apparently I tend to go for it when I want something sweet or carby. NOT a habit I want to encourage.

Apparently, I drive myself to cookie dough if I try to track everything and do all the things at once. So, new goals: 1. Drink water 2. Eat food with less than 5 ingredients when it comes from the store (not including spice blends) 3. No HFCS. Sugar Dr. Pepper twice a week (requires that I get up and go to the store,…

OK, so it's another way to measure progress on the "healthy plan we already have in place." Or for me to determine if I need a new doctor!

For October 5: 1. 100 oz of water per day 2. <100g gross carbs per day 3. Walk >5 minutes per day. Elliptical counts. 4. Kettlebell/bodyweight/weight at least twice a week. 5. NO ^%#^$#%#@ $@#!$^#$^ Dr. Pepper. Earned 5 pumpkins, out of a possible 5. Weekly Total: 19 of 23 thus far...

We are, however, da bomb.

Fuzzy water should not be drank. Fizzy water is tasty.

What's the second series you're watching?

This! http://mariamindbodyhealth.com/pumpkin-swirl-cheesecake/ The crust she uses had coconut in it, but I was seriously planning to make it crustless next time. I didn't swirl it, just mixed the filling all together, and it was dang tasty. I made it in the tiny Mason jars and the ones I froze were still good (I ate them…

My goal for October is NONE. Hubby has been told to tell me no if I ask for one of his. :p

From Louise Hendon at the Keto Summit: But also, a quick update about the Encore Days. We've been very swayed by wonderful comments like "Jason Fung has changed my life" and "thank you for the interview with Dr. Cate because I consider her information on a whole other level and dispensed in a a real way." We really want…

I haven't used a Soda Stream and don't do diet drinks (I tend to react badly to aspartame, Ace K, and Splenda). I do, however, get the fizzy flavored waters, like LaCroix. I'd cut them out due to budget issues, but it might be time to sneak them back in.
-
I don't do diet. I might, every once in a long while, grab a Zevia soda (sweetened with stevia).

This definition is from Wikipedia: "The law of conservation of energy states that the total energy of an isolated system is constant; energy can be transformed from one form to another, but cannot be created or destroyed" The emphasis is mine. I think the biggest misunderstanding is that people ignore the part that a…

Uh, yeah. I do much better when there's no Dr. Pepper in the house, but that doesn't happen when the person sitting next to me has a 4-a-day habit!

OK, so I'd wandered off again for a bit. I'm not going exceedingly low carb, mainly because we're temporarily broke and using rice and beans to bulk out food. 1. 100 oz of water per day 2. <100g gross carbs per day 3. Walk >5 minutes per day. Elliptical counts. 4. Kettlebell at least twice a week. 5. NO ^%#^$#%#@ $@#!$^#$^…

I make chicken with gravy that's just chicken stock and arrowroot starch. I started calling it chicken snot because of the consistency. Hubby has requested I go back to using more normal thickeners for gravy.
-
Thanks! I'm still looking into the AIP diet.
-
Good luck! I tend to be the same way, but it's mostly due to depression. I'm trying to get out more as well.
