Peaches. Yum.

Not syncing again this morning. Anyone else?

Mine got smaller but I'm still a 32E. I think I look more proportional though, except as always for my thighs, where my body really likes to carry weight. 🙄

I put it in as part of a serving. So if I use 1 tbsp oil for 5 servings of chicken, e.g., and I eat 1 serving, I assume I ate 1/5 (or 0.2) tbsp oil.

Mine was working but I think it stopped syncing again.

I have lower blood pressure and sometimes just standing up too fast can make me dizzy. I've had it happen while lifting too, which is one reason I use machines instead of free weights for most things. I also try to pay attention to breathing when I lift, to make sure I am not holding it since that will cause issues for…

OK, so if your maintenance is 2300 and you ate 2800, that's 500 extra calories per day, so 1000 extra calories. That is less than half a pound. Your weight will likely show a higher gain that than for the next few days as you'll be retaining water. Stop beating yourself up and just get back on track. You've got this.
-
Agreed. It's ridiculous.
-
Hmmm, ok.

When I was nursing, I started with 500 extra calories a day and moved that to 250 when she turned 1. A few months later I dropped it entirely. I prefer to set my activity level to sedentary and my Fitbit just adds everything on. It's worked, for the most part, as I lost 40 pounds or so in a year (regained 8, working on it…

I still have a little residual numbness almost six years after my c-section. Since yours covers such a large area though, wouldn't hurt to get it checked out.

Losing inches is better!
-
Mfp gives me 1200 to lose a pound a week (before fitbit adjustments for exercise) and then I add 500 for nursing. It hasn't impacted my supply, although everyone is different.

You could look for a Leslie Sansone walking video on YouTube to up your steps. Sometimes I will march in place while reading on the computer.
-
I add it to my diary under breakfast every morning. I might have been better off using the exercise option though; I think entering nursing as food makes my reports a little harder to interpret (e.g. saying I ate 1500 when in actuality I ate 2000 total).

I second getting up early. Also, do you not have a lunch break? Can you use any of that time? Can you incorporate random inconveniences that force more activity--like parking further away or taking stairs instead of elevators?

OP's intent may not have been to be condescending, but when numerous women are saying it was, maybe he should listen. Intentions matter far less than effects. I may not intend to run you over with my car, but does saying "sorry, I didn't mean to" lessen your bodily injuries?

You are pretty damn awesome. Not that my comment matters much, because you already knew that. :)

Thank you :)

OT question: for those fixed weight barbells, is the number the total weight including the bar, or the weight of the ends only? If the latter, how much does the bar weigh?

Actually, breastmilk composition depends very little on diet, but I do agree that hitting fat and protein targets is a good idea anyway, for your own satiety if nothing else. I've lost 40 pounds while nursing. I set my target to -1 pound per week but then added 500 calories for breastfeeding right back in so I'm…

Oh wow, you're barely postpartum. It's super hard right now with the stage she's in. Newborns are time sucks. Not that it's ever easy--I have to go to the gym to work out, I just can't do it at home with the kids around. Is it possible to work out over your lunch hour or eke out a little more daycare time so you can…

Personally, if I only had 30 minutes, I would focus strictly on weight lifting. I like cardio to give me some extra calories to eat, but I think weight lifting gives you a better body in the end, provided you are eating at a deficit until you reach your goal weight.

I feel self-conscious when doing something new or when I need a new sports bra or something (if you know what I mean ;) ). I've found generally the best thing is just to keep working through that uncomfortable feeling until it doesn't bother you anymore. I am often self-conscious in my life and let it hinder my goals too…

I set my activity to sedentary, which puts me at 1200 calories per day (I am 5'4", 131 lbs atm). Then I add in any exercise calories from my Fitbit, which can range from 100 on a super lazy day to 700 on a great day. I also add breastfeeding in to every breakfast, which gives me 500 calories more. So my absolute floor is…

I love Zumba. Although I primarily focus on lifting weights, I take Zumba classes 2-3 times a week because it's fun.

I'm not diagnosed but sometimes have problems with reactive low blood sugar. I also like to delay breakfast for awhile before the "clock starts" and I have to eat more frequently. IDK why not eating doesn't trip issues. I also find I'm much more likely to have problems if I have a meal that is high in carbs and low in…

Congratulations! You may end up losing some weight initially during your pregnancy due to nausea, but it's not really safe to purposely try to lose weight. Your body has enough work to do, creating another human, without putting additional stress on it. Eat at maintenance for now if morning sickness allows and add calories…

I breastfeed and have lost 40 pounds since April. Tylee, I would say that 1200 is way too low. I set my goal to sedentary, which puts me at 1200, but then I add 500 for breastfeeding every morning, so I end up with an effective minimum of 1700. I also wear a Fitbit and it adds calories to my day as I move around and work…

My motivation to walk on the dreadmill--I want more calories so I can eat more. My motivation to do all other exercise--I like it. I found I like Zumba and I like lifting weights, and I like how I feel after both. So, it's much easier to get to the gym regularly. If the majority of my exercise routine consisted of the…
