I just saw a sports med doctor today and he too said to continue with running -just less and not "hard" - said the pain will subside and the bone will heal - there is no break - just stress fracture.

I take Metamucil (dr recommended) and it has solved my problem - I now go once a day like a normal person =) I had my gall bladder removed a few years ago - that's what caused my problem.

both - i'm lucky - we have bike lanes pretty much everywhere - so I often run there - as there are no bikes in the winter. Roads are sometimes safer than sidewalk covered in ice.

Lone Survivor with Mark Whalberg - war movie - would recommend if you like that type of movie and One Week - Canadian movie - would also recommend - funny and sad - but great

I ran 4 km, walked 3, did some wii boxing, a few push-ups and that's it.

I have a greyhound - it's too cold to walk her right now -it's -36C with windchill - and yes, I do count those - I use runkeeper everytime I walk or run.

I had the exact same thing done two years ago - do your physio exercises! - even after they discharge you! I didn't get enough physio - so I'm sometimes still dealing with pain. After losing weight - I'm now running (which I have never done in my whole life!) and am almost pain free.

I ran 10km (6.5miles) this morning. I then went out with dd and did 4 km (walk and run - she's beginning to run). All the while thinking of Meg's family.
