  • 62:11 I did need to do assisted pull ups though. Pretty happy as I am 3 months in and kept a good constant pace. Final mile I was gassed tho!

  • I use really cheap Gold Gym gloves from Walmart (literally no padding) as it helps me to concentrate on my form and avoid slippery hands as a reason for dropping the bar. I know its not very macho, but if I feel my skin rip it breaks my concentration and gives me an excuse to stop.
  • Yo I totally got that msg my 1st day joining MFP from health_gal. I immediately wrote on the board "NIX DOES CROSSFIT" Then immediately I received an email that says "I AM NOT A VIRUS" from her. I wrote back "SMELLS LIKE A VIRUS" and blocked her.

  • The time limit really makes it into a game for me! Just as long as you have proper form, this really makes you sweat like crazy and is a great way to not take it easy at the box. Give it a shot; if you are not able to finish it is just motivation to push harder next time.

  • 21 days in and finally completed my 1st WOD under the cap with 5 secs to spare. 3 rds of: 400M Run 16 Single Leg Squats (Pure HELL when you try to pumnp out 8 at once on a leg) 6 Hanging Power Cleans Other CFM members cheered me on to finish. Gotta love the family.
