Hmmm, well I am 5'8 and in my later half of my 30's. I currently weigh 166 (starting weight was 200 after having twins( and I think my goal weight is 145. I was 145 when I was in my 20's and I looked awesome. Not sure if that's a weight I can maintain, but I am ok if I land somewhere in the 145-155 range. I also exercise -…

I think you need to give it a few weeks. Frankly, you have only been doing this for a month AND have already lost 10 pounds!!! That's awesome and way more than most people do in their first month! Your body is probably just adjusting. Give it another week or two, and then SLOWLY add back a few more calories, like a hundred…

Agreed. Mine, BMR + sedentary is also around 1600. If I eat 1800 I gain each week. That is of course unless I exercise, but with exercise I wouldn't lose at 1800 I would maintain.

I drink one glass of slimfast chocolate milk shake mix with nonfat milk. I don't use it as a meal replacement, but just as a chocolatey snack. It makes me feel better. ;)

I totally agree with this. It is MUCH easier to just go without all together than to just have a moderate piece. That kind of self control is much harder. I hope to someday have that kind of control, but for now, I just can't have those trigger foods in the house. Because "Everything in Moderation" does NOT work.

I had to go back and read the OP's original post, because after reading everyone elses rants i forgot what she said! Anyway, Yes a calorie is a calorie. Yes, it's calories out and calories in. HOWEVER, not all of us eat back our exercise calories. Not all of us stay within our calorie allotment for the day. SO, if this…

Yes! I am 5'7 and weigh 175 pounds. My goal weight is 145! I would love to join a group of women with similar sizes and goals.

Awesome, thanks for doing this!

I log everything I eat, and sometimes log a meal prior to eating, but haven't gone the step further and logged an entire day's meals, the day before. I want to try this as I feel that I am way more on plan if I have it all written down. I am much better at following my own rules or plans, if left open, it leads to…

I agree with all the previous posters. You are NOT at an unhealthy weight. You have done an awesome job and look great! You go girl!

Well for me, with my first child, it took about 9 months post partum for my weight to be pre-pregnancy. This time however, i had twins. Of course they just turned two and I still haven't lost all the weight, but I did gain like 65 pounds with them. It has been extremely difficult. Mainly, just to find time for myself with…

I always thought I should market "Diet Water"... you know someone would buy it!

Thank you! That clears it up!!!!!!!

Seriously, the hardest thing for me is binge eating.... even if its on healthy food.. My hardest thing is binging. If I could fix that, I would be golden.

Awesome news, congrats!
-
Ohh, that's a great idea! Thanks!
-
OMG, EXCELLENT IDEA! I am totally going to try this!

I agree with this too, BUT did she say how many calories she is burning with exercise? Maybe she is only walking or swimming for a half hour total and burning less than 200. If that's the case, she doesn't want to up her calories in my opinion.

Well, I LOVE WW, personally, but cannot afford the 40.00 per month for in person, and online the peeps are seriously rude. I was successful with WW before I had kids. I do find counting calories MUCH easier and more realistic. Also, 11 pounds in three weeks is AWESOME! I wish I had that! I only have lost about 7 pounds in…

Excellent post.

Congrats to you OP! You are awesome!

Nice! Well said.

My (unsolicited) advice would be to start eating three hundred calories MORE per day and see if that helps. You could possibly be eating too many calories. However, you are not too big for a male, so I wouldn't up it to 1600-1800 just yet if your goal is to lose weight and you are essentially sedentary. Start with raising…

It's interesting how "to heart" people take things that are posted on a public and free forum. Why do people always go for the throat in their responses? Is it cause you can let it all loose knowing no one really knows who you are? Just because we all hide behind a "User Id" doesn't mean we cannot treat people with…

Are you logging your exercise and eating back your calories burned?

DITTO!

Thanks for the info!

Yes, and OH YEAH! My struggle is not overeating during the crazy food need. I tend to overeat during those craving times, and then the two or three pounds that are just from fluctuation from TOM become permanent due to the binge.
