I've never tried it with cinnamon. I'm gonna have to do that!

Thanks for these. I'm surprised by suggests of walking, biking and strength training. Don't those all put stress on the knees?

Pizza. I will eat an entire pepperoni pizza by myself, if you let me.

All right, I'll keep that in mind. I find that when grocery shopping, the cheaper the price the smaller the portions. I have to discipline myself to choose those over the bigger ones.

Thanks for the response. That was helpful!

Currently, I'm shopping around for a gym to join. I desperately need to start lifting! However, I am terrified of the weight room for only two reasons: body image issues and lack of knowledge about the machines, strength routines and proper form. (Cost is also a factor for me, personally. I don't make a lot of money and…

I agree about the added ingredients to processed almond milk. That's why I feel naughty for consuming so much of it before researching it. :-/ We have a Whole Foods here and our Drug Emporium has an extensive nutrition section. So I'm pretty sure I could get a hold of some raw almonds. But, like you said, it's gonna cost…

I started out using Jay Robb Chocolate Whey Protein Isolate. It's tasty in everything except water. Today, however, I bought a tub of NOW Sports Whey Protein Isolate Natural Unflavored. Thanks, everyone. I'm learning a lot. And still slightly confused.

Thank you. I remember hearing a researcher on NPR last year say that one shouldn't eat potatoes more than once a week in order to lose weight.

I've been perusing the boards for some time now and keep seeing that phrase: "calorie deficit." What does that mean?

Thanks for the responses. I began this journey on Weight Watchers two years ago. For the first year and a half, I initially lost around 90 lbs. Then I plateaued for many months. Now I've regained 10 lbs. much to my dismay and sadness. I've been trying to figure out where I went wrong and have been wondering if avoiding…

Wait, is that a joke? I thought cauliflower is good for you? Isn't that why folks use it as a substitute for mashed potatoes?

UGH! There's so much conflicting information about carbs, I don't know what to do! How about "If it's white or fried, run and hide"?
