Yes. And yes. And don't forget the antibacterial wine cleanse. It's critical.

Our posts crossed! Are you not logging water or not drinking it? It's a little thing but really important. Also, I know it's convenient but three meals plus snacks of processed diet food does not seem to be working for you. What if you tried cooking some meals ahead and swapping out at least one meal a day?

Oh, those first couple months are so hard! Don't give up yet but do everything you can to log accurately. I was eating a lot more cals than I thought and burning off a whole lot less for quite a while. It was very frustrating because I thought I was doing it right. Best purchases were a food scale and a heart rate monitor.…

Oh, that is ink-worthy!

Oh, good for him! I hope he's getting happy. He was such a hot mess. And I am of the Karma Chameleon age. Loved him!

Oh, great! That's a goal of mine and you encourage me to keep at it!

I have never had a doctor weight me totally naked first thing in the morning. While their scales are more accurate, their conditions are not ideal. I was wearing very heavy rain boots one time, plus clothing plus a coat. Seriously 10+ lbs of gear! So just use your own scale to track as the gentleman above said.

You are beautiful and inspiring! Thank you for sharing.

I've been worried about my chunky girl, too. There are two others and they all have their special ways in a house with no interior doors except the bath so we free feed. We just lost our oldest to a stroke but she was also toothless for quite a while. That meant only canned food for her which meant some for all of them. I…

So many great ideas here! I never would have thought of peanut butter. I'm going to pick up some tomorrow.

Hi Sherri! I'm 49 and fighting the thickening hard! I'm afraid that lunch out was one of the things I had to give up, except on rare occasions. But wine - never! So sometimes, I eat what brought and then join my friends and sip a glass while they eat. Win! In fact, I should do that more. Feel free to add me. My profile and…

Cutting out pizza would not be sustainable for me. And there's always cheese! My husband and I make our own and I have calculated 3 different crusts, 3 sauces and a bunch if different topping combinations. None of it is so high that it can't be fit in, even the Greek with 3 cheeses and kalamatas and sometimes chicken or…

Oooooo...sharing. I like you, BJ, but...well, I can support your need, at least.

I read this yesterday, made them last night and ate the first two just now. Fantastic! Yes, the salsa makes it. Thanks!

Oh, great topic! My digital scale is my newest joy. My food processor gets al kinds of use (hummus!). I don't use the immersion blender much but it's the perfect thing when I do and doesn't take up much room. The stand mixer was bought before I realized I needed to limit baked goods. I won't say I regret it but it hasn't…

Oh, that stinks. I haven't been in your situation exactly but when my creaky joints act up, swimming is good if I don't push too hard. I also use 5 and 8 lb hand weights to work the arms and shoulders. Better than nothing, I think.

Two words that technically mean the same thing!

I guess I don't hang with the vast majority of people! I know dictionary definition 1 of "diet". It's English dictionary definition 2 I am talking about. Normally, I love the expressiveness of the English language. It borrows from so many other languages which is why we have so many words that technically mean the same…

There are some really amazing and inspiring women in this thread. Thank you for sharing!

Toss it with fajita seasoning or Cajun blacking spice, pan fry with cooking spray and serve over salad or (my fav) in toasted corn tortillas with lettuce, tomato and maybe some avocado. Quick and delish.

Oh! I'm baking tostadas tonight!

Well, yes, there is. Diet more than implies a temporary thing that has an end. At least in my culture.

All the time, honey, all the time. Those that have never struggled with their weight just can't understand. It's not their fault but we know that their experience is not ours. I'm planning the department Halloween party which means there will be delicious food I can actually eat!

I was vegetarian for quite a while but I was gaining weight. I tried to find a way to eat low carb and still get enough nutrition but I couldn't do it. That was before I joined MFP, though. Since I am developing rheumatoid arthritis, I really needed to take weight off so I decided to go back to an omnivorous diet. I'm not…

Oh, I was where you are too many years ago! You have just proven that you are strong and you will do this. MFP has been the ONLY thing that has ever worked for me and I know I'm not alone in that. This advice worked for me: first spend a week or two logging everything you eat. Everything. Even though you know you are…

I grew up in Ohio with severe, undiagnosed SAD! I've been in NM for 11-12 years where it isn't a problem so long as I get outside every day. That even helped in OH, though not enough. Frankly, I hadn't even considered the SAD this year but you are right, we are going to have to be more vigilant if we want to maintain the…

Well, OP, looks like your story struck a chord with a lot of us! Thank you for sharing. I haven't read all the comments yet but I second them all! (Even the mooner :D)

Oh, you could pull off Alex! I'd be Crazy Eyes if I could do the hair. She's my fav.

Yes please!!
