Not food but I make my own liquid laundry soap. Saves us a ton with 5 of us plus 12 daycare kids in the house during th day.

We were young and my hubby had cancer (we were 19 yrs old and expecting our first child). We discussed things since he was told he only had two years to live. He surprised me with a ring and we got married when we were 20. We just celebrated 12 years this past July. Now we don't wear our wedding rings we have our names as…

I'm hoping so! I really enjoyed this month's challenge.

I have the stick but the foam roller is amazing! Never thought I'd enjoy the pain of using it but it made a huge difference with my leg. If I had a target I'd check it out. I pick my hubby up Thursday from the airport I'll have to try and leave a little earlier and swing by the Target there. Fingers crossed my day goes…

Agree! As a daycare provider when a child comes in smelling of smoke the other kids make comments they don't want to play with them b/c they smell bad. Just because the window is down in the car doesn't mean the smoke is not reaching the kiddos!

People who think poor planning on their part means an emergency on my part!

My hubby and I will be running the Tower of Terror. I think we're going to run in a costume. If you have any local graphic designers you can contact them about making you a shirt. When we ran the Goofy 2011 we had special Survive shirts made in honor of my hubby being 10 yrs cancer free. After the design, temp board, and…

We ran/walked the July 1st one in Kansas City with the kids. We had so much fun we signed up to run the one in Des Moines, IA on Oct 6th. We talked a few friends into going so we'll have 10 of us going. We don't wear any electronics but bring a camera. We use an older digital camera so we don't have to worry about the…

My husband is a 12 year survivor this October. CML (leukemia) when he was 19 years old and wasn't suppose to live past 2 years. He's still taking chemo pills everyday but we live one day at a time! It's why we started running half and full marathons to remind people you can do anything you put your mind to! Congrats on…

To step out of my comfort zone! I can run 39.3 miles but afraid to run a zombie or mud run! Some day....I need to believe in myself more.
-
I'm training for my 3rd goofy challenge (half and full). I'm overweight but can still finish 39.3 miles. I struggle to lose weight while training but I think for me personally its my diet. I burn 3500 to 3800 calories per day (per my body bugg) and I'm usually not hungry. I drink a lot of water but most days have to force…

Beachbody has a new workout 10 minute workout advertised. We haven't looked into it yet but it caught his attention. Claims to be something for those who travel.

My husband travels for work apx 50% of the time. He usually has a similar problem finding a hotel with good workout equipment. He's usually in rural areas or works 1 hour or more from his hotel. (fixes, installs, etc...rock crushing equipment ...you get the idea..no cell service..) He takes his IPAD and uses the…

Some days it's the only way I get my water in! I try not to only drink it but my opinion is it's better than me grabbing a can of soda!

We try to plan ahead when we go to Disney. You can find most of the menus online. If I'm going to have a dessert at a meal then I avoid going to the bakery. I also use my snacks for water or fruit. Disney has a ton of junk food but they also offer good choices. (salad, fresh fruit, veggies) When getting the dinning plan…

My mother in law (she's over weight herself apx 5'3" and weighs 290lbs) told my hubby last week he's getting fat. He's working on it (5'10" weighs 238lbs) but also runs marathons. He was really hurt by her comment.

Hangover: Is this hotel pager friendly?

I started having knee pain last week. MFP peeps said to use a foam roller. It's starting to feel better just in time for my half marathon coming up. I'm sticking with a foam roller as a regular stretch before and after runs.

Have wanted to change my user name for that reason. No Daisy. (my dog's name)
