  • Hi both, I can definitely relate to a lot of this. Before lockdown I was training 4-5 times per week and maybe a year or two earlier I was also working out with a personal trainer. And then lockdown came and I was working from home (in the kitchen) and I got into a habit of eating high sugar/fat snacks throughout the day.…
  • Feel free to add me to. I eat minimum of 1500-1600 calories a day and train because I enjoy it and it’s part of my social life, not to burn calories. That’s just a bonus. 😊 My January goal is to eat more fruit and veg and eat more nutritious food. It would be great to have some more friends who are in the same boat.
  • My food diary is open to friends, so just send me a friend request and say hi if you want to have a nosey. I’ve been down with a bad cold for the last 2 weeks, so won’t be much exercise logged. Once I start back training properly again I will re-evaluate if my calorie goals are right for me with the increased activity…
  • Yes, I agree. 1200-1500 seems low for someone who trains 5-6 days per week. I’m sure you’ll feel better once you start eating more. I’m 5.6”, weigh 66kg (145.5lbs) and train 5-6 days per week and want to lose maybe 4kg (9lbs). I eat 1600-1700 calories on my rest days. My goals are fat loss, maintain muscle mass and still…
  • On a long run (13 miles or more), I always have to take energy gels or jelly babies with me because my blood sugar normally starts to drop after about an hour of exercise and I start feeling dizzy and light headed. Before a marathon I will carb load two days beforehand, where I reduce my fibre and protein intake and focus…
  • Very interesting read @lemurcat2 I’ve been reading up on protein recommendations today because I want to lose fat but still keep as much of my muscle mass as possible (ideally all of it). I have never cared before about my macros and have been happy as long as I lose weight. This time it’s slightly different. I’ve started…
  • Polar might add on your basal metabolic rate to the calories burnt. But I'm not entirely sure... I used to have a polar watch and I seem to remember that when I uploaded my training from polar to Strava (running/cycling/swimming app), Strava would tell me I had burnt less calories than polar did even though strava only had…
  • Sorry, I forgot that your calorie burn depends on your size as well, so it could be that Fitbit is not too far off (based on me not knowing your size/weight and height). If that is the case, are you logging your food accurately?
  • I tried to compare your stats to my polar stats based on steps and calories burned. Your Fitbit estimates a lot more calories burned than my polar on days with similar number of steps. For example, on Friday I went for a 10mile run and ended up with 20102 steps and burned 2595 calories according to polar. You've got a…
  • I wear Asics GT 2000. I overpronate and need a shoe for stability. For trail running I've got a pair of adidas kanadia, but I don't like them, so will be looking for a new pair soon.
  • I'm an overpronater and like Asics GT 2000. I like how the shoe "hugs" my heel and gives me some extra support. :)
  • I'm a member of a running club and run a few times per week. I've been a member of MFP for a few years now, but have only recently started logging again and have reset my weight loss tracker because I wanted a fresh start (that's why it only shows that I've lost a very small amount). Feel free to add me. :)
  • I'm also a runner and my stats are very similar to yours. I'm 5.6 and weigh 138lbs and my goal is 125lbs. I'm back on MFP after a long break of not logging and now I want to lose the last pounds before summer. Feel free to add me.
  • feel free to add me if you want. :)
  • I weigh 139lbs and am 5.6 tall and run somewhere between 16-30 miles per week. I've chosen to override MFP and have put my daily calorie "allowance" to 1400. I don't eat back all my exercise calories, I only eat what I need to feel full or satisfied. On my non running days I'm always very hungry so it helps being able to…
  • I live in the UK and have an open diary. Feel free to send me a friend request and a little message.
  • I meant to write that anybody can add me. :)
  • Feel free to add me (and it would be nice if you included a little message :) ). I'm based in the UK and have an open diary for my mfp friends to see.
  • I came across this article on my fitness pal. It's about eating too few calories and not loosing weight and about the importance of eating enough. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/3047-700-calories-a-day-and-not-losing
  • Hi, my name is Ragnhild, I'm Scandinavian, but live in the UK. I'm 26 years old, and have decided that this a good age to be fit. I'm currently 132lbs (60kg) and want to loose around 12lbs (5kg). I need friends too. Add me. :)
  • We're twinish! I'm 26, 5.6" (167cm), currently 60kg. My goal weight is around 55kg or 20-22% body fat.
  • Hi, my name is Ragnhild. I'm from Norway, but live in the UK. I'm currently half way to reach my weight loss goal. My focus is on toning up, rather than getting skinny. My goal is to reach 21% body fat by mid summer. I eat around 1200-1400 calories a day, treat myself to a bit extra during a weekend and go to the gym. This…
