It's hard to answer that for someone else, but there may be a few things that could make a difference. For example I know that I loose more weight if I eat less carbs. Certain foods just don't let me loose weight. Also it could depend on how and when you eat. Little and often does work, but I must admit I prefer my 3 meals…

Good luck. Welcome back :)

Tried both, couldn't stick to either. WW is worst I think because you think it's easier to have there foods. That documentary last year showed that there foods were actually not good for you as they fill them with all sorts of rubbish to keep the cals down and give it flavour. I agree this way is cheaper. Make small life…

It's probably best to take one day at a time. Maybe small goals at a time would be best for you. We are all on here because we are all struggling. I've been overweight since early teens, and its gone up and down ever since. Sticking to a diet has been the hardest part for me. It makes me feel excluded at times. So slowly,…

Hi, welcome to mfp. I've been doing it for over a week now. I love it. It's so much easier than other ways I've tried before. Having the app on your phone is really handy to help monitor your food. Regarding exercise I haven't been able to do much but I've started walking abit more. I guess it's about finding what suits…

I have tried different ones, but wanted to try something different. So this time I brought David Hayes debut exercise DVD and really enjoy it. Its different coming from a boxer so its not like my other DVD's. I love it. Best one I have brought. Really love the create a workout function. Becks

The thing when someone suspects its there diet is that to find out you can only do one thing at a time. Maybe by removing one thing at a time, or making one change at a time. You could do a headache diary and make a note of when you have one and what time of day. And also look at what you had to eat that day. It might…

Exercise. Its so hard to fit into your schedule sometimes, and plus cant always do as not well.

I like some of it but to be honest was alittle disappointed. One of the exercises where you go from standing then down to the floor and walk forward on her hands. I tried this and it really hurt my knees and thighs. I'm not sure that it is friendly to people who are over weight, especially by a lot. My favourite exercises…

Good luck to you to. This certainly is a hard journey. For me I don't think I over eat, it is that I am not always able to exercise due to ill health. But being on mfp has really inspired me to push a little harder. I'm trying to find time to go out walking more, as well as count my calories. I feel like i have a long way…

Well there is alot of thoughts and opinions in this thread. For me the title was misleading. Then there was a long paragraph of mainly facts. Where is the evidence? We can all give advice but supporting it with evidence would help people relate to it. After reading through I did notice that some people have contradicted…

I've only joined recently and am loving it. I've tried loads of diets before but can never stay with it. Using mfp has surprised me with how much I love it. Good luck on your journey xxx

I have been taking it for years now. I take it with food. I'm on 1000mg daily. It has not only brought back my periods but although not tested doctor thought that I have insulin resistance. I believe it too as I can now go much longer without food, and I no longer have the shakes only a few hours after eating. I feel much…

Metformin has worked for me. My cycle was crazy before, sometimes 4 months in between. It made me feel awful not having a period. It's not normal not having one. Unfortunately it's a long term drug. I've been on it years, and each year I see a difference. First of all I noticed that I was getting them more frequent. Then I…
