After a huge week or so of rather dramatic drop in weight, I started this week with high hopes. Then, I gained 3 lbs over 3 days. With some relief I dropped most of that temporary gain, but I'll apologize in advance if I have a lukewarm report on Sunday =( Good job this week, all!

I can't stay off the scale myself. Issue: I want accurate daily readings, and sadly I think my scale is dying a slow death, it is playing head games with me. I can actually get different readings from it if I play around with it and have to take my best guess on what is accurate. It is really annoying, yet: I bought a new…

After 90 days I was glad to have a break myself, at least from some of the workouts. I get annoyed that the workouts are so long, and since I almost never just press play once at the beginning and let it play through without pause, it takes that much longer to finish. The corny jokes are certainly worn out, I find myself…

I'm a P90X grad today! Finished my 90. Results: Lost about 25lbs. Body fat from high 20s down to 18%. I can do a half dozen pullups starting from barely having the strength to hang on the bar on day 1. I used to have to work around my stomach on things like Yoga. That problem is gone, maybe I can feel my gut ever so…

Happy Mother's Day! Had to do first half of Core Syn yesterday morning, got called away for a few hours, came back, did the Core Syn warmup, skipped to where I left off to finish that, and tacked on an X Stretch for good measure. Yoga X and 90 day wrapup today. Will X Stretch tomorrow.

Ok folks, not the house I would have chosen, but here I am, and I am bringing some firepower to this fine school. May1: 216.8 May8: 213.0 Total: -3.8lbs Bring it. ---- Read all the books twice, seen the movies. Favorite book is the one where Fred and George raise a ruckus and quit the school.

May 1: 216.8 May 8: 213.0 Loss: 3.8 lbs Hmm I actually need this to slow down...it's like a metabolism wildfire.

If not a veggie burger or the like, you could grill yourself a decent-sized (not tiny, not huge) hamburger, get a low fat cheese slice if you want, use minimal condiments (I use A1 instead of ketchup to do my best), put it on a plate without a bun (or use a better bread like whole grain) and don't have a pile of fries --…

I'll join if you want more. Let me know what date you want starting weight for, I have every day recorded =) Edit: May 1 216.8 May 2: 217.4 May 3: 219.4 May 4: 216.8 May 5: 215.6 May 6: 215.4 ...feel free to pick one of the above....

She actually was showing where she used to be, and where she is now is in the top 3 pics. Anyway, good luck, lots of good people here will help you get back to where you want to be!

Wow having a tough week this week. Who would have thought they would stumble on the final recovery week? Anyway, I missed a workout (Core Syn) last night and am pushing it to tonight, meaning I will finish 90 days a day later than planned. I hope I can bring extra effort to this as I have now had plenty more rest than I…

Can I join? May 1: 216.8 Today: 215.6 Loss: 1.2lbs

I definitely have to keep going, I am still so soft in the middle and now that I have looked as particularly thin as I have for some weeks now, I don't want to let up and want to burn off the rest of the soft stomach and chest. Knowing it works so well keeps me wanting to do more. Seeing hints of a body you can be proud of…

Good to see an active group, cheers! Did my last Kenpo X for this 90 day trek. I actually almost killed it, which made me happy considering my ongoing endurance issues. Had a few pauses to let heartrate subside a little. As usual after about 1/3 of the program I started struggling a little, but also as usual I caught a 2nd…

With 5 days to go, I'm getting myself mentally prepared for another round of P90X. I am going to finish Recovery week this coming weekend, then take a 1-week break. During the break I will try to rest up a little, but I also will try to do some non-P90X activity. Probably some treadmill time, maybe get my bike serviced up…

Legs and Back is certainly brutal. I took to the wall squats like a duck to water even in the first week, though they still burn badly to this day. I actually do them very well on a good-energy day and don't do too badly on any other day. I just did my last Legs & Back for this round on Saturday. I won't be doing this one…

I wouldn't worry for one second about what you couldn't do. Some will come with time, some will come with more time. More so for this workout than any other, I quickly adopted the "do your best, forget the rest" philosophy, and, while to this day (week 12 just ended) I cannot do crane and struggle on one or two other…

Hi Creiche, and anyone else still tuning in. Wow saw this thread pop up on my list, been a long time since it moved. I'm still around but this thread kinda got quiet so it dropped off my radar. I kept on going with P90X. I'm about to finish week 12 tonight, going into final recovery week for this round. I had 2 rough weeks…

P.S. all this talk makes me wish tonight was Yoga X night -- too bad that was last night =(

If you decide to try to stick it out with Yoga X, I would specifically suggest the following, rather than just doing the first 45 minutes: Start the DVD, and try to go up to the point where Tony says take a break if you need it -- I think it is sometime around when you are introduced to Reverse Warrior or maybe Triangle…

I saw a P90x thread and wanted to keep tabs since you guys just started. If this was just a few weeks later I'd have joined you in starting up at the same time. I am just finishing up week 12 of my first round and have my sights set on getting through recovery then getting ready to start a 2nd round. I think I might take a…

I think as several already mentioned, you could sub in Cardio, X Stretch, or Kenpo.... or maybe Plyo in place of Yoga. I personally would not pick Plyo due to the more high-impact-ness of it; I am always worried about shin splints and knee/back pounding that the 1x a week already provides me. My experiences with it might…

I'm minus 9 today. Had a rough day or two. I was actually minus 11.2 yesterday, though. It's going to be close since I had a questionable night last night. Bad foods and a good 5 drinks at a party. Note: official weigh in is tomorrow, don't use -9 for my final results, for better or worse -- I want to keep myself honest =)

I started on MFP and lost 5lbs in a week. I know, not helpful, but then: I started working out vigorously and spent the next MONTH at 0 weight loss. Yes, a whole month. So, it's not unusual to run into these frustrations. Keep at it and you will succeed <glances down at his -20lb ticker>. Make sure you don't eat way under…

Saturday 23 April week 3 check-in: SW - 227.8 lbs Week 1 - 221 lbs Week 2 - 220.2 lbs Week 3 - 219.8 lbs Week 4 - xxx lbs Total lost - 8.0 OK, then...I am at the top range of what is considered healthy weight loss for 4-week period. If I stay at this weight for the last week I will be quite satisfied I think. Edit: Also…

I think my week 3 weigh-in will probably be a weak performance. Good overall so far but without a little more progress this week. The 10lb goal for April may slip away...
-
This is all great info, thanks. I tried to reassure my friend that weekly weigh-in can be just as arbitrary as daily. There is no "guarantee" that every Tuesday or Sunday or whever is going to show a systematic, linear weight loss, and not to be discouraged if you have dropped 6 lbs but one week find you gained 1 back. No…

Winner for coolest before and current/after pic, without even considering the weight loss number. Good job!

It is working. I have lost a fair bit of weight while doing it. Note that P90X is not a "weight loss" workout, but it happens to help overweight people a lot. I can see muscles in my arms now. I have a fraction of the gut I had, though I am still working on it. I have seen all positive measurement changes. I was at the…
