1200 is nothing! You should be able to hit that easy. Rice for carbs, chicken for protein, veg for your vitamins, olive oil for your fats. 2bagels is like 450cals that's like 80g carbs to start to fuel you for the day. Eating that many times is not needed at all. Are you looking to add mass right now or cut weight? Work out your maintenance calories and add 250cal to them and you'll gain lean mass. If you weight 200lb then make sure you are getting in 200plus grams of protein which ever you are doing.

I disagree. Trainers are overpriced and often not too smart. If you lack motivation they are great but if you are already a motivated person you don't need them. You can set up your own routine inside a day with a good bit of internet research. I never had a trainer in my life and I'm happyish with my results.

Be consistent with everything, eating and lifting. Do not be one of those guys who goes to the gym and spends an hour curling dumbbells, the lower body is as important as the upper. Work out how many days you can make it to the gym and work a plan around it.

That must be pretty annoying. I've tried to get a few fat people to workout and as soon as they start seeing results they think its ok to pig out again. That sex idea is the best bet.
