I grow vegetables year-round in the Arctic (with no sunlight for several months), so it's definitely possible to grow them indoors if you get good sun. You should be able to grow enough to occasionally supplement your meals, at least. It's a long-term project though.. even the fastest growing vegetables take a couple of…

I had blood taken (to monitor hypothyroidism), was checked for edema, a blood pressure check, and fundal height measurement. That was all, next appointment scheduled for week 33.

It takes a little over 4 hours for food to completely leave your stomach after you eat (though some things move faster, some slower), and most of the nutrients are absorbed after that point. Anything you ate before B-4, you should probably count fully. There's no way to be accurate about everything else. Liquids pass…

I'm with Stephen Fry on this one. Offense is incredibly subjective, and stating that one is offended serves no meaning or purpose. Someone could be offended by nearly any statement or behavior, which other people find completely acceptable. If there is something I personally dislike, I ignore it (if it's not actually…

Not taking the medication isn't really an option, the effects of hypothyroidism (without meds) can be dangerous, and it can get worse with time if untreated. It's also necessary to get blood checks occasionally, since thyroid levels can fluctuate, even while you're on the medication. It's important to make sure you don't…

There are hand guys too. I had an internet hand-stalker once, who tried to convince me he was a teenage girl who loved women with big hands, and needed extensive pics and measurements for her web site. I'm a hip/bum girl myself. I like big thighs too.

I'm 5'11 and a size 14 in US clothes and definitely overweight, not average. I've always fit into a smaller size than it seems I should at my weight though. I'm trying to get back to an 8-10, which is around 165-175 lbs for me.

I have extremely long, thin fingers. My boyfriend calls me "aye aye". I love the way they look, and think yours look nice too.

HappyCow has a list of vegetarian-friendly restaurants and markets in Moscow: http://www.happycow.net/europe/russia/moscow/ You can get an idea of non-vegetable ingredients and prices here: http://www.shop.happy-vegan.ru/ I don't know if you read Russian, but Google Translate makes it vaguely readable otherwise.

I don't live in Russia, but I live not too far from Murmansk (in Arctic Scandinavia) and have a general idea of the cuisine, since it's traditionally not so different from here. It will depend somewhat on what city you'll be in. Getting pretty much anything is possible in Moscow or St Petersburg, though food is expensive.…

I don't think fitbit exists where I live, but I can look into getting a heart rate monitor. Thanks for the help!

Is there a minimum I should be eating? When I put in the hiking here, it suggests that I'll be burning 4000-6000 calories extra.. that seems like a huge number. Or should I just eat what I want and not worry about counting at all? When I've done a single day of hiking/scrambling like this at home, I normally eat 2500-3000…
