i agree that the best solution to a binge is to do your best to recognize what you're doing but lay off the blame/shame altogether. THat said, the best way to stop myself from binging is to regulate my blood sugar by balancing protein and carbs at every meal.. if i eat too many carbs and not enough protein i seem to have…

hmm.. why is reading something on a website (or even a book) inherently "smarter" than going by a word of mouth testimony, ie, talking to someone that has firsthand knowledge?

i use a few herbal remedies. most recently i have been using a nettle leaf tincture for allergies. you can buy it premade from whole foods or from a few different retailers online, but i made one myself and i think that works better. not sure why it works, but i am loving it because I'm not experiencing any side effects,…

you did what so many are never able to do.. people have no idea how difficult leaving an abusive situation can be. what a powerful and beautiful example to set for your children. congratulations on taking back your life and doing something worthwhile with it. and by the way, you look great.

i like variety, so it changes a lot, but often i have one of these options: -a smoothie with some combination of protein powder, chia seeds, a portion of banana or a whole banana, strawberries, blueberries, or pineapple -precooked steel cut oats with brown sugar, cinnamon and apples (lots of carbs here) along with eggs,…

my oats were steel cut, and 3 hours was plenty of time. not sure why it's so different for some people unless crock pots really do cook at different speeds. as for the nutrition info: 8 servings (mine came out to about 175 grams each), per serving- calories 219 carbs 42 fat 3 protein 7 sodium 1 fiber 6

made this tonight. it was done and sticking to the pot after 3 hours on low. cant imagine what wouldve happened if it had gone the whole 8. maybe some crock pots cook faster than others??

dont decrease water..if you drink less your body will not let go of what you do drink. here is the formula i read on another topic about how much you need to drink: your body weight divided by 2, then convert that into ounces.so if you are 144, that's nine glasses a day (which is just a little more than youre already…

i am having the same problem and im convinced it's salt related like someone else said. im trying to control my salt intake, and increase my water intake and see what happens. so far it seems to be getting better but i only weigh once a week so i havent checked the scale.

this is the best way i think: http://dinersjournal.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/02/21/recipe-of-the-day-roasted-brussels-sprouts-with-garlic/ sometimes i finish them in the oven on high heat (in the 400s) drizzled with some balsamic vinegar i never thought id crave brussel(s) sprouts but these are amazing
-
my absolute favorite way is roasted with olive oil like someone else mentioned, then tossed with peanut sauce.. this is the recipe i use http://www.familyfreshcooking.com/2012/01/30/spaghetti-squash-thai-peanut-sauce-recipe/#.UZYygvVF6So

i did the same thing. and felt really guilty all day even though it was during one of my "cheat" meals. went way beyond what i planned to eat. in theory, though, i agree with the poster who said that every day is a new day. just try to let go of the guilt and get back on track. good luck.

as the other poster suggested, try anchoring your meals with fruits and veggies. the zone diet recommends filling your plate 2/3 with veggies and 1/3 with protein. that way you get full without a lot of calories. there are some sample meals on this site: http://crossfitimpulse.com/the-zone-diet-explained-edited . i have…
