I am new to this and would love to know if there are any good tips for lots of food with few calories???

Try vegetables, chicken, fish, eggs. Start eating less sugar and carbs. And drink lots of water! Good luck!0

as the other poster suggested, try anchoring your meals with fruits and veggies. the zone diet recommends filling your plate 2/3 with veggies and 1/3 with protein. that way you get full without a lot of calories. there are some sample meals on this site: http://crossfitimpulse.com/the-zone-diet-explained-edited .
i have been on the zone diet for two weeks now, and never imagined that i could feel full eating only about 1500 calories/day.0 -

Great advise! I have a big slab of meat and loads of greens. Really fills me up! Too many carbs make you hungry. The zone diet is great macros. If you have starchy vegetables make it a small portion. Take a peek at my diary if you like. A good example of one of my days is...
Greek yogurt (full fat fage) with some berries and grapenuts
OR
2 poached eggs one piece of whole meal toast.
Snack cheese string or few nuts
Lunch
Tuna and egg salad (if u had yogurt for breakfast) half a can of tuna, mixed with Fage, lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, sweetcorn and 2 boiled eggs. Eat with a small bag of mini cheddars (cheese crackers / biscuits)
Afternoon snack of cheese string or nuts again maybe. Be careful with the nuts don't want to over load. They are calorie dense.
Dinner
Peppered steak (200g raw) with loads of green vegetables.
Snack home made popcorn.
Totals 1400-1500 calories. Plenty of fiber, protein and moderate carbs..
Drink 8 glasses of water minimum.
It would fit the zone macros well. You could also add a few baby potatoes at dinner if the carbs are a little low.
