6 months and 1 week - reached 30lbs lost today!

I was at the upper limit of a UK 14 at 159lb and 5'5". Lost 27lb so far and I am somewhere between a 12 and a 14, but closer to a 12. So for me, it will be more than 27lb to reliably go down one size. I have wide hips, big boobs and a narrow waist, and I tend to gain/lose weight in an even layer over my whole body (except…

I have tried pretty much everything - the only one that really works for me is Telfast (fexofenadine) tablets. I take one a day from when I first notice symptoms and I use Nasonex nasal spray and Opticrom eye drops on occasion, only when I have breakthrough symptoms.

I'm 5'5'', I started at 159, currently at 132 with a goal of 119, which will give me a bit of room to go up a few lbs when I get to maintaining. My main pic is from about 20 months ago when I was 126-128ish. There are pics on my profile of me at 157-159ish in December 2011 - I gained about 30lbs between May and December…

I just watched the first 4 episodes (of the first series) this weekend and I'm finding it really hard to get into. I haven't found any of the characters likeable or the stories engaging. I'm going to stick with it though since everyone raves about it.

Try mindfulness meditation. The aim is not to have a blank mind/no thoughts, but to allow them to come and go, and notice them without judging or getting caught up in them.

I love Tabasco, I have it on pretty much everything and often get through a bottle in a week. I can't think of anything savoury that I don't put some kind of condiment on; salad cream, bbq sauce, ketchup, pickle (e.g. Branston's) and various chutneys are the main ones.

South coast and Yorkshire. It may just be my weird family! A Scottish ex used to put the yoghurt out of the pot and into a drinking glass and eat it from there with a spoon - I found this utterly bizarre - I would have it in a bowl if it was not already in an individual pot. Greek-style yoghurt wasn't really around much…

I was brought up in the UK with yoghurt as a pudding (dessert/sweet), a treat at the end of a meal - sugary and fatty. Cheese I have always seen as either junk (rubbish processed cheese) or indulgent ('proper' cheeses), but certainly not good for you. I was surprised to find that people I met in America considered both to…

Basil is pronounced baz-ill in the UK not bays-ill. US 'bangs' are called a fringe in the UK. School (at least where I live) goes: 0-4/5 - nursery or pre-school 4/5-7 - infant school or 4/5-9 - middle school (old - don't know if there are many around now) 7-11 - junior school - do SATS (not the same as the US version) at…

I do this but not entirely intentionally, I am quite inconsistent in what I eat. I aim for somewhere between 1000 and 1200 a day but usually eat less on a weekday and more at the weekends. I rarely eat 200 cals either side of this - so far this year I have been >200 under on 10 occasions and >200 over on 18 occasions (13…

I wish mine would shrink. Still wearing UK 30G/32FF/34F after 21lbs loss. I wear the back tighter now but the cups still fit the same. I would love to get back to a 32D or DD. I have some nice bras that I got in the US when I was that size, but I was only 18 then and they didn't stop growing til my mid-20s so I don't think…

Started when I was under 5 with my fingers, wrists and knees. Now I think just about every joint in my body cracks - jaw, back, neck, shoulders, hips, elbows, ankles, toes. I have a habit of cracking them whenever my attention shifts, I have to have a bit of a stretch and crack, they get stiff and uncomfortable if I don't.…

I have had surgery for these on both wrists. I don't have full range of motion in my wrists now and can't put much pressure on my hands, or support myself on them. I'm glad I had them done as they were painful, but there are some things I can't do now, like handstands and push-ups. I did used to find a splint or bandage…
