I got my recumbent bike used on Craigslist and it held up fine when my then-husband used it. Is that viable in your location?? Also, I have seen gym equipment stores sell refurbished models of various equipment - perhaps you could find one close to your budget that way.

Thanks for the helpful replies! I have lost 50-60 pounds 3 times in the last 10 years so I am sure that isn't good. I was dieting then as opposed to changing my lifestyle so I believe I have the tools now to do this and keep it off for good. I :heart: MFP.

*ONLY* 3 cats so I do not qualify as a crazy cat lady! Two usually sleep with me, sometimes the 3rd. Only annoying thing, the two like to sleep right next to me... no need as it is a king-sized bed. Purring is a great white noise to fall asleep to :)

Maybe not your thing - but you can take a ferry to Shell Island and collect shells. Definitely a wear your swimsuit kind of thing... no bathroom on the island (at least when I went years ago), but lots and lots of shells to find.

I have had a similar issue with night time eating. I started finding activities to keep me busy - nothing stressful... as silly as coloring posters from the dollar store to painting my fingernails which I have gotten a lot better at :) I also like to stitch which also keeps my hands and mind occupied!

When I looked at the scale and realized that I would hit 300 pounds if I didn't do something. I guess the light bulb didn't go off before that because I wasn't physically uncomfortable. Heading for onederland and do not intend to ever leave there :)
