@wenders - definitely take it (heh or RIDE IT) to your nearest bike shop and have them get a *tune up* on it. It should work even better after that!
-
@jogging - good luck! 14 miles each way! Wow! @tweety - old bikes are supposedly the best made! Old bikes were made in America, UK, etc unlike today - everything is made in Taiwan I think!! @keynsian - that sounds great! Everyone should check out this video at Treehugger regarding Bogota, Colombia, which is now a much more…

Oh yeah. I'm obsessed with it. What kind of bike do you ride? I have a Marin Stinson.

I hear you. I'm sitting here at the same weight but I am nowhere near where I want to be. May I ask why you're just eating 500 - 800 cals a day? Your body might be going into starvation mode with that....

We need a bicycle riders thread!

What an incredible life story you have! One thing I notice about Brits is that they are able to survive things that would seriously just break us Americans into pieces! But you have wow, WELL DONE! I just asked my British husband how do Brits deal with super drama? He just answered "they're adults". What an inspiring story.

Oh honey, I hope you've already filed for divorce by now. Just file, you can probably do it on line from your computer. You deserve love and respect. You do not deserve verbal and physical abuse from anyone. Ever. Just file for a divorce from him. Yes it will be hard, but you're working, you'll be fine. *hugs* There are…

There's a BIG improvement! Awesome!
-
Love this. I'm a little behind you but your stomach is showing massive improvement! How inspiring!
-
I am really loving how your stomach looks now. Good job!

Great after pic, huge difference in belly, are you just doing cardio (all over) or are you doing something special to make your abs so flat now?
-
Awesome! How tall are you? And what do you weigh now?

I have had it for over a decade and a half - - when it's been super bad I have to take Schiff Glucosamine & Chondroitin - that brand and Solgar brand work to HEAL it. Can't say it ever goes away, but I wear Crocs all the time and I do my cardio on a really thick jigsaw interlocking mats from Nefitco - 1.1" and they work…

There's a kindle edition of this book I think. http://www.amazon.com/Healthy-Cooking-Two-Just-You/dp/0875964486/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1302945577&sr=1- Then searching further I found this: http://images.cookeatshare.com/popular/low-fat-recipes-for-one-person There's this one but I don't know if it has cal counts…

Right there with you OP. I looked it up already earlier today. Fitness god Tom Venuto says this: "The most common cause of a plateau in fat loss is not training-related, however. The most common reason for hitting a wall in fat loss is that your calories are too low and your body has entered starvation mode. Once you start…

"The most common cause of a plateau in fat loss is not training-related, however. The most common reason for hitting a wall in fat loss is that your calories are too low and your body has entered starvation mode. Once you start to go into starvation mode, no amount of increased training will help. The only thing that can…

If anyone is wondering, I knew that Tom Venuto, who is one of the "gods" of the fitness world, would have something to say about this. You see, I am plateau'ed right now. I've been told "eat less carbs" which Tom says is bs. One thing I have noticed is that my bra size has gone down, so I am getting leaner - - it's an NSV…

Hi there, my weight has been sort of staying the same since early April. I hope I can lose 5 lbs but who knows :)
-
Hi everyone! I'm impressed with that kettleball wo for abs! Wow! Although I still have a long way to go and my weight has plateau'ed for a bit I'm still pretty happy. I do have some accomplishments. 1. The other day I started to see the line down the middle for my abs 2. Today I had to use a smaller sports bra to work out…

@Atlantique - I phoned them, they do have a memory in them per what EatSmart said "it remembers till .6 of a pound" - from EatSmart themselves. They also said that "all digital scales do this Taylor, Tanita, etc". He also said "if you want one that is more accurate it's best to buy a physicians scale." Soooo....now we…
-
@Atllantique: just found this review from Jan 2011 So the problem with EatSmart is that it has a built-in memory, yes, even in the new scale, which is why it's giving "consistent" readings.
-
Can you see if it moves in .2 or .4 by weighing something with it with yourself on it? My Tanita scale does even though it has inconsistent weights constantly.

Was all set to buy the EatSmart scale then I read this: "2.0 out of 5 stars Weight adjusts based on history -- not current value!, August 18, 2010 Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: EatSmart Precision Digital Bathroom Scale w/ Extra Large Backlit 3.5" Display and "Step-On" Technology (Health and…

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone about me being stalled! Will take that into consideration about the carb thing! @Tattoo & @Gail - oh trust that I am doing HIIT....yes major big time. Hi, welcome to MFP. I'm wondering if you can do some relaxing yoga? I do Yoga With A Master - it's Integral Yoga & I love it. It's not the high impact yoga that a lot of people do around here it's all about relaxing yoga, there's also Vinyasa Yoga which is supposed to be low impact, but I can't vouch for that. I'm betting…

Interesting. I want to get to 110 as well and I'm 5'4 but if I start looking like your "after" pic I will definitely be adding more to my weight, if I ever get there. My honest opinion is that it's kind of hard to look at your pic...I get the "eeeesssshhh" feeling, like you have anorexia. I hope you don't....and I don't…
