I'm English; UK born and bred. However, my paternal grandfather was Irish and my maternal grandfather has a Scots name and roots, so I guess ultimately I am Hibernian. I look it too; black hair, very pale skin.

I always become ill in late winter/early spring (so Feb/March here in the UK) and the flares generally end in the summer.

I have only just spotted this query. I find the same thing - I am on a high maintenance dose of Asacol and I often get hypoglycaemic symptoms and I have suffered with my sinuses since I was a child, which worsened when I was diagnosed UC and went on the 5ASA based meds. So you're not alone - the side effects and weird…

I am 5ft7 and 139lb, and I wear a UK 10, with the odd 8 if it's jersey material. I'd like to return to 125-130lb and get back in the size 8s full time.

I am also a metal head from the UK! I like classic rock and punk too (Planet Rock radio is never off in my house). I like too many bands to list them all!

A few years ago I was very ill and I was around a size UK 6 - I have always had a big chest and I dropped from a 32H to a 28E. Luckily I put about 3/4 of the weight back on and they came back. They took a while to settle out but buying new, properly fitting bras helped a lot even though it was a bugger to get any in that…

I do that too - when you realise you have danced in your office (at home!!) to about 20 tracks from the late 80s/early 90s to relive your childhood you've done about an hours' exercise!

Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Chris Evans (Cap'n America). Someone said The Rock which I entirely agree with and now I know I am not alone in what others consider to be a weird crush. Mr Ragingwitch has to top the list though obviously.

I don't know about clean eating but you can start your roux off with olive oil instead of butter (it looks wrong at first but it will thicken) and then I usually make my sauce with soya milk, as I can't have cows' milk. Lower fat.

You look cracking!

Think how long it took you to put weight on. I need to drop a stone and it's taken me about 2 years to put that stone on. So I can't rush the weight loss because burning it off takes almost as long as putting it on in the first place. Do 10 minutes today....11 minutes tomorrow....rest....12 minutes.....and so on. You can…

I would suggest looking at Spark People - they do exercise videos for people with limited mobility, which you do from a sitting position in many cases. I use them as I have bad knees and suffer with a back injury. They do decent workouts but they're designed not to be too strenuous.

29 year old teacher here! I have been logging in every day - 10 day so far as I am new. I have no idea if I've lost any weight though because I've no scales in my house. Have to wait to be invited round for tea at In-Laws and get on their nice digital scales....

Sounds brill! I am cooking for a friend and we are going to eat, drink and be merry. Possibly with xbox Rock Band.

Soya. I can't have milk, ice-cream or cream but I can still eat cheese and yoghurts. Everything else has to be soya! Just make sure that you are getting enough calcium from other foods; you won't miss dairy that much as there are so many available substitutes but you do need to watch bone density.

Try some veg as a substitute for some of the fruit if you need the fresh crunchiness. If I ate that much fruit, my stomach would be churning, as it can be hard to digest!

To stop picking up injuries - it's all about the muscle tone! I learnt to snowboard a few years ago, finally got to go on real snow in Austria at Xmas, and felt mangled after a day or so. Bashed my knees (which are already bad). I could stay how I am for my life; I'm not overweight and I look ok in clothes, but I am unfit.…

Chocolate biscuits!! Or any other biscuity, cookieness wonderment that is in the cupboard.

Feel old.....you may add this <cough> twenty-nine year old (30 in September) for the sagely wisdom that comes with age....

I am trying to log on every day - managed it so far.....

You need a new bra - that one is too small! Getting fitted for a decent sized bra streamlines your silhouette and you'll look as though you already lost some weight - you will also lessen the strain on your shoulders and back.

I have a Fitbit One which does the same thing as the Zip but I can use it to track sleep too (I generally don't bother). I wear it every day as I am a teacher so I constantly pace or walk the corridors. It's very rare that I drop below 9000 steps per day and I know that because of my Fitbit! It told me I climbed 15 floors…
