I hope your advice helps OP, and it sure is helping me! I was doing wonderfully, then I fell and damaged my knee to the point that some days I could hardly walk. then I started eating my old way, then I stopped logging. I was almost at the "what's the use?'" point, when I booked two trips- one next month to Malaysia, one…

That's your opinion.

this is so ridiculous. How much was she drinking? I drink diet Pepsi, and I'm not giving it up. I have a can every few days, not multiple cans per day. this is one more sensationalist story. Ooooh, but if you found it on the internet it must be true, right? different substances affect people in different ways. How many…

Yes you can. The recipe is all over the internet as Oopsie bread. Check it out. I haven't made these, but now that I see the nutritional info I'm going to .

Well aren't you empathetic and helpful? The person said she is having trouble controlling her binging, and you tell her to stop eating so much. How cruel!

I can't make a no cheat pledge because my plan has no way to cheat. I haven't cut out anything because that would set me up for certain failure.

When eating out, which I often do, the first thing I do when my meal arrives is cut it in half. I eat one half, and bring the rest home for another meal. I do my best to log, but like the rest of you, I can't do it perfectly and just do the best I can. when eating at a friend's home again I take small portions and do the…

Perhaps a physiotherapist could help you with both your foot issue and a different way to do planks.

Im thinking about taking him to see someone, You're thinking about taking him to see someone. Sounds to me like you want to be in control. If he becomes motivated, he will see someone on his own. You'd better hope it's not a woman who appreciates him for what he is on the inside, instead of the way he looks.

So what's your point?

Why do you feel the need to affix blame? The doctors were doing the right thing. The man was too heavy to be a good surgical risk. Ten thousand calories is not very much. If that's all the wife was giving him, she certainly didn't do anything wrong.

You've been here for over a year and record a 1 kilo loss. That alone should answer your question.

Or better yet, don't take away the foods you love. Don't think of your new way of eating as a diet. Work the foods you like best into your daily allowance, and don't deprive yourself.

I'm low tech, so I measure the distance with the odometer on my motorbike. For example, I know it's 7 km from home to work. If it takes me half an hour to get there, I know I'm traveling at about 14 km/hr. Pretty basic, but it works.

I don't substitute because I haven't cut anything out of my diet. I've simply reduced portions, and I don't have all of my favourites on the same day. I've found that 20 grams of cheese is usually enough. Today I burned a lot of calories biking, so tonight I ordered a pasta dish from an Italian restaurant, and didn't go…

You're wrong. EAting breakfast gets your metabolism started for the day.

So what? That's his issue, and none of your business.

I lived in the Arctic for several years where the sun didn't rise for weeks at a time. Does that mean that folks who live there should fast for those weeks?

Moving at all burns more calories than not moving. Give the girl a break! It's her first day!

I use the slow walking for things like that. (18.5 min/ km)

Since I don't use either protein powders or pancakes, I guess I don't need a shaker bottle.

QTF? And an error is an error, whether in the title or the paragraph. So what's wrong with correct spelling and grammar?

I have been living in Vietnam for the past few years. The people here eat rice with every meal. They believe that if you haven't had rice, you haven't eaten. The school where I work typically serves close to two cups of rice with lunch, and most of it goes back to the kitchen uneaten. For the most part, a meal here would…

A couple of things: First, learn that YOUR is possessive, and YOU'RE is the contracted form of you are. Next, go to another room to have your snacks.
