  • Besides pictures that I see.. my job is what woke me up. I work for a cardiologist and seeing patients my age come in with diabetes, heart disease, heart failure, with their own choices playing a big role in these diseases...started to scare the crap out of me.. especially with a family history of all of the above. Really…
  • I'm running my first 5K in September too! I'm in week 4 of C25K and it is getting hard (for me), but am really wanting to be successful. I'm a lifetime yo-yo'er and I'm tired of it! Best wishes on your 5K in Sept. Are you doing it by yourself, or do you have any friends getting ready with you?
  • I started C25K a few weeks ago and it is awesome!!! Have lost 30 lbs and need to lose another 15, but have stalled. Hoping this can kick up the weight loss a notch!
  • I love that book. I also like that "Cook This, Not That!"
  • Love it! I hope to be as b*tchy as the b*tchiest one day. Great post!
  • I agree that is the BEST feeling in the world. I've never posted the "before" pics before, but I'm thinking of doing it too. I think it is a great way to keep you focused and consistent. I never want to go back to the "before" again!!

  • Welcome! I have been on this site for 3 months now and love it. The key to success is to really use the site!! When I first started I didn't log all of my food, didn't really interact all that much and just kind of logged in when I remembered. Once I got strict with myself, I really started seeing success and it feels…
  • Congrats on losing 40 lbs, that is awesome!! This place has been a great way for me to stay on track. You'll get lots of support here. Welcome and keep up the good work!
  • My "usual" way is to be "all or nothing." I get super extreme when dieting, but then slowly return to not keeping track of what I'm eating, or have deprived myself so much that I go nutty! Or eat way too many "diet" type foods, i.e. lean cuisine, healthy choice, etc...get sick of the same thing over and over, but fear…
  • Another thing to consider is what you have set for your activity level. I chose "sedentery" even though I work as a nurse. It gives me a lot more calories for "lightly acitve" and I was not losing weight with it set up like that...
  • Sending request too! Can't ever have too much support!
