The only thing I don't log in is hot sauce. Everything else I do.

It's not unusual for a tattoo artist to ask for a deposit. The artists at my shop do so (unless I've walked in with a specific design and they're able to fit me in). This guarantees that the customer won't flake and the artist will get compensated for the time he spent drawing up the design/prepping.

M&M's or Reese's Pieces.

I like using hot sauce and salsa. Also, I measure my sauces and count them in my calories.

Eggs, chicken, peanut butter, almond butter.

I agree with others, do it for yourself. But if having someone motivate you is what gets you started then that's good.

I try eating back ½ of them, or maybe a third. I usually have some left over though.

Pretty much what everyone else said. Don't beat yourself up over one box of chocolates. You're human, it happens. If it were easy to stay on track all the time EVERYONE would be in perfect shape. Tomorrow's a new day, start fresh.

What I get a lot is "it's only once a year" or "one day out of the week won't hurt". My favorites, though, are "oh I need to go on a diet/I need to lose weight" while they stuff their face with 2500 calories worth of food in one sitting.
-
No because the people who don't get it refuse to believe me when I say that if you just count calories and watch your portions you can lose weight. Instead they choose to go on these fad diets that don't work, or they'll lose a lot of weight in a short period of time and then gain it all back and then some.

I prefer the gym because the environment keeps me more motivated.

I had a co-worker who, every 3 or 4 months, tried a different Dr. Oz diet or diet tip. After almost 3 years she managed to never lose a single pound.

If he feels the need to hide things from you then that's a major red flag. This guy sounds shady to me. Dump him and move on.

I think it depends on the gym. I was fully expecting my gym last year to be packed after the 1st, but I didn't notice much increase in people, which was nice.

I stay motivated by looking at before and after photos, the fact that I've gone down 2 shirt sizes, comparing how motivated I feel these days as opposed to a few years ago when I would get home from work and veg out or stay in bed for a few hours, and I tell myself stuff like "no pain, no gain". And sometimes I just do it…

I love cupcakes, greasy tacos, pepperoni pizza, Kettle potato chips (salt & vinegar), Reece's Pieces, sour gummy bears, nachos and those damn taquitos from 7-11.

I tend to find that I eat more at breakfast and lunch than at dinner/evening. I guess that just works for me, but as long as you're meeting your daily intake it shouldn't matter. Whatever works for you.
