Congrats on the fifty pound weight loss so far!!! Great job!!!

Try to keep track of your calories DAILY as much as you can...One day over and one under should be OK. though...I have a tendency if I REALLY indulge on one day to try to get several days under to compensate...

My rock bottom was when my doctor told me that I needed to lose weight or I was going to have a heart attack...Also, after having gone through menopause, I weighed more than I EVER had in my life...It was time for a change...I lost forty pounds a couple of years ago and gained it all back...I am in the process of trying to…

Hi! I am 59 years old, and I totally agree with most of the above posts...I lost forty pounds a couple of years ago and gained it all back!!!(ugh!) Since, about, the beginning of the year, I have lost ten pounds...Even since when I first started on MFP, it seems to be getting even HARDER to lose the weight...I am, also, on…

This is a very good point...I am fifty nine years old and I am finding it VERY difficult to lose weight...I think this is threefold...It gets harder to lose weight the older that you get(the old "metabolism" thing), I put on a lot of weight during menopause, which a lot of women do), and I have to eat at least HALF of what…

I totally agree with the above post, so, I guess I'm getting"old" too. Half the time I don't believe it, though...Then I look in the mirror and go, "Wow" I guess I'm not twenty five anymore!!!(Like I already don't know that!!!)

Excellent job!

Way to go! Great job!

I don't believe in fat shaming...But people are getting bigger and bigger, especially in America...ALL the medical data suggests that being obese(or morbidly obese) is bad for your health...I am obese, and I know that I'm too damn big, which is why I'm on this website...That said, it is VERY hard after a certain age to…

Good for you!

Sounds like a lot to me...I agree with the posts saying to get off the train early...A two hour walk twice a day would be EXHAUSTING...Just my opinion...
-
Fantabulous job! Reading your post is very inspiring...

I'm with the post that, basically, said that my job is a means to an end--like my days off to enjoy myself...I don't HATE my job, I don't LOVE it...The pay is good for my field, and the benefits are fantastic(excellent health care and pension.) When I'm had a bad day, I keep all of this in mind...All in all, I'm satisfied…

My mother put me on my first "diet" when I was ten years old...I wasn't overweight, but my mom has always been extremely thin...All this did for me was to build resentments about my weight, and at the age of 58, I really AM overweight...I am with the post that said concentrate on something OTHER than her weight, like here…

I am, also, on several medications, one of which is notorious for weight gain...This med is so bad that my doc is thinking of switching me to something else...The kicker with this particular med is that it does the job it's supposed to do Perfectly, BUT that weight gain is a known side effect...I agree that weight loss is…

I have read all of these posts with great interest, as it seems that this is the HARDEST thing to do regarding weight loss...I have lost forty and put on twenty...You're right...It has to be a lifestyle change, although this is easier said than done...

Fantabulous!

Way to go!

I had a goal weight when I started...But I got, about, half way there and gained back twenty pounds...At the weight I am at now, my "numbers" are still good(blood pressure, triglycerides, and cholesterol), and THAT was the main motivation for losing the weight...I was at a risk for a heart attack...I figure as long as I…

Way to go! GREAT PROGRESS!!!

Serving sizes are confusing...and arbitrary...Sometimes the "serving" is too big, sometimes too small...Read labels carefully

Wow! Great job! I lost forty pounds and gained twenty of it back...I still feel better at twenty pounds down, though...It is hard...That weight just wants to come back on...

My most recent--and continuous--nSV is that my work pants are WAY too big...Everybody keeps asking me when I'm going to get new pants! They ARE new!!! hahahaha!
