Absolutely, I believe you have to in order to get as much as you can out of this site. I log EVERY exercise EVERY day. I also never eat the extra calories... in my opinion that's more to lose and burn off. I try to stay around my limit of 1200 (usually it's only around 1000) even if through exercise it increases to 1600. I…

I aim for 6 days of continuous workout (50 minutes high-impact cardio and strength training) and rest on Sunday. I've done well this week and lost 4 lbs... today I felt 'off' so I only worked out for 30 minutes. I agree w/the poster who said they do the same if they are not feeling up to speed. I will take tomorrow off but…

Hang in there! What types of exercise do you do? I have found that beach body products (Slim in 6 - what I do, P90X, TurboJam) are phenomenal products. Looking at before and after photos of what amazing results people have accomplished - is what motivates me! What I do to motivate myself is I first take a look at a pic of…

Wow... Praise the Lord you came through it and have learned a valuable yet very difficult lesson. This will have more of an impact on your children than you realize... teaching them not to make the same choices and providing new ones for them to model. What an incredible chance you've been given to regain your life and…

Totally agree! I tend to be an 'apple' so all my weight goes straight to my stomach (first), arms, chest, shoulders and face. I have noticed a huge difference in every area and a SMALL difference in my stomach. That's the first place it goes, and the last to leave!! I'm with you!! Keep it up! We'll be looking like an apple…

First of all congrats!!! GREAT job so far! My advice (which is limited) would be to bump up your cardio. The more you burn it will slowly melt off all areas... you just have to keep at it! I have had good success doing Slim in 6 by Beach Body. They work your legs and arms... well all of you honestly! But it's cardio and…

Your story isn't one you're happy with - but I'd LOVE to have that result! I'm a 34C now and I'd LOVE to be back at a 32B. I HATE my 'girls'. LOL Your situation gives me hope that mine can take a hike too! Ever since I had my daughter they've exploded.... so overrated in my opinion!!! Can't wear low-cut tops at all w/out…

My husband is attempting to lose weight also and he has a 'free' meal on Friday nights where he eats pizza/wings and soda. Me personally I can't do that. If I let myself eat unhealthy, I spiral downward and that makes eating unhealthy for the next meal all the more of a danger. I am an 'all or nothing' person. Either I'm…

Someone gave us a "Magic Bullet" Blender for us to make smoothies during the time my husband was undergoing chemotherapy and it works really well. Will blend frozen fruit, ice and whatever else you want to blend. Also works as a good food chopper (it has two different blade attachments) if you want to make salsa or dips. I…

Oh and Skillet is a little 'harder' but they have a good rock-out CD! Makes you forget you're working out!! I have them on my iPod also! I also agree with the post about TobyMac. Third Day isn't bad although I don't really care for the guy's voice.... LOL. I like Chris Tomlin a lot too.

They aren't very popular anymore (that I know of) but the group "Jake" is a christian band. They had a really big hit song that was featured on the first "Left Behind" movie... where Kirk Cameron's character accepts Christ (Not sure if you've seen the movie or not!) ALL of Jake's songs on their CD are upbeat! I just looked…

I completely agree! It does seem the 'last little bit' of weight always wants to stick like glue and not come off... Good luck to you too! :)

Most definitely in the same boat! You can add me too!! I have never been extremely overweight but like you said just not 'satisfied' with how I look. I'm 5'4" and growing up in high-school and college I was always super skinny (and couldn't gain weight!) and looking back I totally took it for granted! I got married, had a…

Good post... Yeah I try to drink as much water as possible - despite hating it.... I feel like I pee ALL the time! At first when I started this weight-loss plan, I wasn't taking in enough water and I think my body was holding on to it because I looked bloated... did the article say anything about water-weight gain?

I'm new too!! :) So what I gather from this site- is mostly just a easier way to keep up with calories? Apart from daily food logging.... what can we all do here?
