Question: So do you put your salad on a scale, tare it and then pour on dressing so you know the weight of the dressing? I have been using a tablespoon to measure.

Like fellow poster LeeShults, I am wondering how I got to be my age! (56) It has been work accepting the changes. I used to walk to work each day, then developed tendonosis in both my Achilles (ouch). Better now but, instead I get exercise on an elliptical, hoping to avoid a relapse. When I was returning from the gym this morning, my neighbor who was out walking her dog stopped me and said, "you've lost weight!" I didn't think it was noticeable to casual observation.

People here usually suggest: to get a food scale and weigh all of your food to make sure you are accurately logging your intake; and to be patient because weight loss is not linear (usually there are ups and downs); and to weigh yourself under the same conditions every time eg. once weekly, naked first thing in the morning…
