I was wondering. I made a concerted effort to drink water during the day for the first time in a long while. Didn't realise it would have this kind of effect though.
-
I'm interested, can you post it please?

It's a question of psychological training. You like ice cream and bad food because you have trained your brain to like it. So when you want something nice to eat you can't think about anything else. It comes naturally to you. You have to retrain your brain to like better stuff. This will be hard at first. When you want a…

Well, today I am a whole two pounds less than yesterday. Didn't know weight could change this much over a short period. Thanks, everyone.

Try it. Or just do what Ricky Gervais did: he still wanted to drink loads of beer when losing weight so worked out twice as hard as everyone else!

I lost 4 stone by eating 1200 cals a day for four days a week, and I drank beer and had pizza three nights a week [so about 3000 cals a day] and worked off 1000 cals three times a week. I lost about 2lb per week. It really worked well and I didn't feel deprived at all. This worked because my weekly calorific average was…

Hmm OK, I'll change my attitude!

Got you, thanks. Yes, this was my first high-er calorie week so that makes sense.
-
Could you elaborate?

Does that mean if I go for a four hour run my body will stop burning calories once it's adjusted to the fact that I'm running? I would also log the calories you spend posting if I were you. I've burned about half a calorie in this post.

I've been maintaining for about 18 months or so. I honestly don't find it that hard at all, I suppose I'm lucky because I just don't like any kind of junk food or drink and I don't tend to eat big. If I do eat big, it's healthy stuff that my wife makes a lot of the time. Like yesterday I was in a shop and I was really…

Once a week in the morning.

I don't understand the plateau thing. I lost 56 pounds and I didn't 'plateau'.

Not enough to count whatsoever.

My BMI is 23 at the moment and !'m looking pretty much to stay there. I don't want to lose too much more weight at the moment. I will say that when I was losing weight I didn't realise just how low being in your healthy range is.

Nothing more to add than I love how this topic backfired on the OP. That's all.

For some reason the idea of broccoli on pizza isn't totally insane. And this looks rather nice. I'd have some.

34 years old, 5'8" CW/GW: ~147 lbs Maintenance calories are 2800. I lead a relatively active life though, and am generally always moving around during the day if I can.

Thank you everyone for your fantastic and very helpful replies. TR0berts you were right, boku and megalin nailed it. I went to the gym tonight and lessened my amount of reps but upped the weight. It definitely was more interesting and actually felt like I was DOING something. I suppose that's when it gets boring, when you…

If you want to maintain muscle but lose fat just eat about 140g+ of protein a day and cut your calories to 1500. That should do it.

Due to this thread I bought of pair of Asics Gels today. Very comfortable they were. Combined with some carb gel it was an awesome night run.
-
Thank you everyone, very very helpful. I will play it by ear when I am there tonight. I'll tell you what I get.

Concentrate on your diet more than your exercise. Diet helps you lose weight more. Go for 1200-1500 cals a day and you should lose a steady two pounds a week or thereabouts.

Seen the uncut version. Still have it, actually. It's OK. Can't remember much about it, to be honest. Incest-paedophilia-gore stuff for shock value. I didn't find it very moving. August Underground was a much harder watch for me.

It's gay.

Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

jpeg fail EDIT: oooh nice edit

This, at least, is true. Protein deficiency in one's diet can be a cause of anxiety and depression. Failing that, try a diet of diazepam.

I think I did 19000 one day and I got something like a 600 calorie deficit. Now if you subtract that from your TDEE, and let's assume you're eating at maintenance, you'd see a weight loss of about 1 pound a week or less. So it's a slow way to lose weight. But let's face it, most people who are new to this aren't eating at…

If there were one decade I could choose to ONLY hear music from it would be the 80s. Incredible innovation in this decade. Some genres [metal being a big example for me] went from having one/two subgenres to a shedload.
