I started this past March, at 249 (5'6, 26 yrs old) Since then, I've made it down to 191 (58 lbs lost), I've lost 12+ inches off my waist, 6+ inches off my hips, and several inches off other places, I think it's something like 30 inches combined. My GW is 149 (to bring me to an even 100), which I should reach around fall…

I play Zumba (Zumba 2 and Core) on my wii some days, when I'm bored with my other workouts. I'm excited to get Zumba World Party but I'm waiting for the price to go down a little.

I saw people I hadn't seen since last Christmas and they all noticed I'd lost weight. I felt great walking around, and wasn't shying away from pictures feeling like a fat load. And when I weighed the next morning, I hadn't gained any water weight, which was a nice surprise (that one's more of an SV I guess).

Out of curiosity I've started weighing myself just before I go to bed to compare to what I weigh when I wake up the next morning. It's been anywhere from a 2.5 lb difference to 4.5 lbs. So far I've not really gotten a consistent number, but the average is 3.3. I was hoping I would get a consistent number so maybe I could…

This. It's one day...that happens to be my favorite day of the year :)

Congrats, that's awesome! I've had the exact same experience - most people told me I looked much older than I was when I was 250, now people tell me I look my age. I'd obviously prefer to look like the age I am :) I noticed the difference myself when I did my first face progress pic.

I get comments like that all the time in my daily life and occasionally on here. On MFP, I've defriended people over being judgemental about what I eat. I've lost almost 60 lbs, so clearly I know what I'm doing, and if I wanted anyone's input about it I would ask. In my daily life, I try to follow a judgy comment with a…

Hello and welcome! Feel free to add me as a friend - my goal is also 100 down, and currently 56 lbs in. I'm always up for more supportive friends :) Don't worry though, that first couple of weeks is rough as you adjust to the new lifestyle, but it gets easier from there. You can do it!

I'm on board! I login every day...going 230+ days strong. 54 lbs down, 46 left to lose. SNLover87

This! I can't feel them all yet...but there's definitely some areas that are much less fatty than before. And on that subject - I also love that I can feel my muscles now too :) I also absolutely love that when I have a big meal, my stomach doesn't stick out far at all. It used to look huge, but now I look down and think…

Me too! I've only lost 50 lbs so far (but shooting for 100 total), but I've noticed a very significant difference from last winter. Last year I would've been wearing a short sleeved shirt in 65-70 degree weather, but this year I was bundled up in a sweatshirt and scarf at that same temperature. I look forward to next…

This. I had the exact same experience. Sometimes it just hits you out of nowhere. And let me tell you - seeing that normal-sized person for the first time is a crazy thing. Your mind will eventually catch up with everything else...sometimes it takes awhile. But it will happen :)

This! There were some things I just refused to wear because I thought I looked ridiculous lol I am wearing a lot of skirts + tights and boots now that it's getting colder, and man does that look so much better than it used to.

I'm not at a point yet where I'm ready to buy all new clothes, but I have assumed from the beginning that I would dress very differently once I lost all the weight. Since I was so heavy, I went for whatever not only fit me, but was comfortable. That was very limiting, obviously, so whenever I found a shirt that I liked…

WOW - you look like a completely new person. Congratulations on your work and your accomplishment, you are truly an inspiration to the rest of us. Thank you for sharing your story, it's so motivational :)

YAY! Congratulations!!

25, almost 26 is close enough right? lol I'm always up for more friends :)

Weighing my food really opened my eyes. I didn't get a scale until a few months into this process, and when I did I weighed everything I possibly could. I found that I was both over and underestimating some foods. But after a few weeks I knew about how much 2 tbsp of dressing was, or what 8 oz of juice looks like, so I…

WOW! You look amazing! Congrats on your progress, you're an inspiration!

Thank you everyone! I love the amazing, supportive, inspirational people on this site, you're awesome :)

I workout 5 days a week, for at least 30 minutes. I always start out with about 10 minutes of yoga to warm up. Then I do 25-45 minutes of either circuit training or zumba for cardio. The circuit is either one of Jillian Michael's, or one's I've created myself. Then, depending on how much time I have left ( I workout at…

I had the same experience when I got my food scale. It turns out I was overestimating the amount I was allowed, so that was a great surprise :)

I know what you mean. My brother-in-law always has to make a comment about how I'm eating when we're at a family dinner. Completely unsolicited, he'll say "how can you lose weight eating like that??" He may be getting the wrong impression, bc at family dinners I tend to budget my day so that I can allow for more calories…

I've always had big calves too... I was always stuck with the wide calf boots, etc. Since I started losing weight, some pounds have come off my calves, and overall I've lost 2 inches there. But it was awhile before that happened. I can't tell you for sure when it happened, but I can tell you that I've been at this for over…

I do the same thing. Eventually I'll get tired of a particular meal/food, and I'll try something new, but otherwise I do stay very consistent. If you're not bored and it's good food, why not?

I don't count some vegetables, specifically the ones that are so low calorie that they're a waste to put in every day (think a couple cups of spinach for salad ~14 calories, or red pepper, mushrooms, etc). I sort of have a mental note of which vegetables need to be counted because they're higher, like corn or tomatoes.…

WOW! You are doing so great - amazing progress! You and I are really neck in neck, about the same height, starting weight, and current weight. Keep it up girl!
