It really depends on the type of program you want to do. If you are considering the more traditional kettlebell exercises, (The swing, Snatches, Clean & Press, Squat/Press, Squat/Pull) you should start out with a minimum of 15lbs. (as a beginner, at only 5'2" that is what I started out with and it was fine). Make sure you…

Hi! I am new to the group, but not to Kettlebells!. I am addicted! I currently go to a Personal Training studio to attend the Bootcamps. Currently I attend 2 bootcamps a week. 45min Intermediate on Tuesdays, and my fave - 60min Advanced on Saturdays. Trying to think of my challenge for the month, so what I am going to try…

Marianne Kane is awesome! She is my hero! LOL! She has great form, and great ideas for shorter, high intensity workouts!

KETTLEBELL bootcamps - my true love. *sighs* Just killed it this morning!

Blown away by your before and after. People you know must completely give you the "double take" if they haven't seen you in a while? Well done!! You should be very proud of such a fantastic accomplishment!

LOL, I LOVE this post. Read this 30 seconds after telling my husband how I actually say things like " I GET to work out!" instead of "Ugh, I HAVE to work out!", afterwhich I then asked "What the hell happened to me?" It is an empowering feeling when you finally "get it" and "enjoy it". Thanks for the smile! :flowerforyou:

I hear you....and what I can say is some of your BEST friends can be a sabotage to fitness goals. What I was lucky enough to do, was to go to some fitness bootcamps (all types - but Kettlebell class is my true love). As a result, I met some really cool chicks, who share my love for the same classes/fitness. So, I found new…

I read the same article, and it was a close race between Jawbone Up & Fitbit. Utlimately, FitBit won me over since I wasnt crazy about the wrist band for work (wearing dresses etc/jewellery). That is the only reason though. I think you'd be happy with either. I love it! And my dog loves it!! I walk her more now, so I can…

Check out the post called "How do you get Summer Arms" and you will see OP is just trying to be a funny guy. I kinda chuckled, to be honest.

Agreed - I quit smoking the end of January, so I have to have one vice....wine it is! In moderation of course (mmm...as she sips on her last glass - earned calories as a result of Kettlebell workout and dog walk, GUILT free) G'night all. Stay healthy!

This.... should have read it before I posted. (and I realize....I am adding to the 15 pages..sorry, I'm out! promise!)

OP posts at 2pm and generates 15 pages................wow, if only my posts generated that much interest. Keep calm and carry on people. Let it be. We all have goals, not all of us have to approve or agree. Just my 2 cents.

Wine - I have significantly reduced my intake - but find myself walking the dog alot more to allow for a glass or two on the weekend. The pup is very happy to facilitate my habit.

6 days on MFP and I lost 2lbs, after 2 weeks on WW with 0lbs lost. I find it so much more intuitive, and love that it links to my fitbit. Not dissing WW, as I have had great success in the past, but I have to say this works for me now that I am more active than with my previous stints with WW. Good luck to anyone…

Quoted without commenting. Lol. Couldn't agree more about the wealth of info in the MFP database. Especially for us Canadian folk. WW database was challenging at times
