They may be referring to the amount of food absorbed by the body. The new blenders break down nutrients making the body able to absorb them (so they claim in their infomercials :)). The body would otherwise have not absorbed some of them from the unblended food. That may be what they are referring to. However, I do not…

I was reading through the messages on this group. If you are planning to start another 2-3 month long challenge why don't we announce it on the regular bulletin board? We may be able to attract a few more motivated people!

Congratulations!! I think it is very important to find what works for you. I usually stick to daily goals. If I can get some exercise in the morning then I know I will have lots of energy till the end of the day. That lets me eat better and move more. If I can keep doing that I know the other goals fall into place.

I did not get the planned 2 miles in last night. I had to help my daughter with calculus. I plan on walking 5 miles today. I also plan on staying on track with food and water.

I maintained this week. It is very hot here and I just didn't feel up to any exercise. I decided to take a break and eat at maintenance with little exercise. Yesterday I decided to get back in the groove and walked 6 miles. Today I walked a mile in the morning. Plan on getting 6 by the end of the day. Over the weekend I…

I am a fitbit user and yesterday while browsing in their community forums I found a group that is walking a ring around Australia. They started July 1st but since I have steps recorded for the month it was easy to join in and figure out where I was. I am 48 virtual miles from Sydney having started from Canberra. That got…

I am going to ensure I do not bring work home today. I will take the time in the morning to cook a healthy lunch and to walk at least a mile. This evening I will stop working at a decent time so I can focus on family and dinner.

Took the whole of last week off from work it seems all I have done this week is catch up. There is no time to walk and I have been using shortcuts for meals. Today I finalized the plan for the rest of the year for my department. I hope to get more time to take care of me. Working like crazy all last year led to the last 10…

I was out on family vacation this week so I am going to skip this week. We walked a lot everyday but there were not too many choices for good food. So I think it all evens out. I will weigh in next Friday. You all are doing great! Keep it up!

Got back from our annual vacation earlier today. Did a lot of walking there but the food was not great. This week I get back on track. I will try to walk 4 miles today.

Celebrating my daughter's 16th birthday today. Had a big lunch and will make up with exercise. There will be a bunch of teenagers in the house this evening so I am enjoying a quiet afternoon. I will walk 5 miles today. Not sure about the push-ups and squats. I am so sore. :)

I walked 3 miles thia morning, 3 to go before the end of the day. I just finished 10 push ups and 50 squats. This is my third day of doing both and it has gotten a lot easier. As part of the challenge I will do crunches - 20 straight up, and 20 on each side.

1.5 lbs down this week. I started this journey 13 weeks ago and am 13 lbs lighter today. It has not always been a linear loss. Lost 2.5 on this challenge so far.
