Aaah the age old breathing question! It took me AGES to get this sorted - but you will find the right pace and breathing for you. I have found it and once I am in the zone it works for me. I do make quite a lot of noise though!! There is no right and wrong way to breathe - you'll find it. Best of luck!

You should definately rest tomorrow - firstly because you have just returned to running and secondly because you should do that anyways!! Great work on your run though!

Just bought a Polar FT7 and have been gutted that the cals are so low compared to my free app - guess there is a reason why it was free! Can't help with the comparison thing - although it is interesting! Hope you get some more constructive responses..............sorry!

Thanks so much for all that. Can I just check then - if my maintenance cals are 1900 and I walked for 62 mins I would do the following calculation: 1900 / 24 / 60 = 1.32 1.32 x 62 = 81.84 201 - 81.84 = 119.16 calories burned. Is that correct?? My head hurts now!!

I definately agree with this. If I run on consecutive days I get shin splints - swimming is a great in between exercise. Great work on your running though!

Sorry to hear you are stuck! If you were to share your diary we could have a closer look at what you're eating - why don't you consider that?? Extra water and different exercise will help. I mixed it up a bit and went swimming last week and I lost 3 lbs. I am sure things will start moving soon. Good luck and keep it up!…

I did a 10k today and it felt like the worst run I have ever done because of the heat!! Make sure you have plenty of water before and during in these warmer runs. Keep trying - you can do it!!

Hi I have a subscription to this magazine. There is also a website that is free to join where you can get advice and tips. Similar to MFP but dedicated to women who run. Not sure if we are allowed to recommend other web-sites!! Oooops! Anyway I agree with the other comments about one long run and one or two shorter ones…

This is a good idea. Why didn't I think of this as I do 2 runs a week in the evening and find it hard to eat them before I exercise ....just in case I don't get to run!! Oh what's a girl to do???!!!
