I'm 62 years old. Joined MFP 2 years ago, lost ~30 pounds but gained back half of it. :'( Starting over again but finding it tough to get much exercise as I have chronic sciatica. One meal at a time!!

I'm also a senior [62]. I lost about 25 pounds last year, gained a bit back but am on track now. I have significant back issues which has reduced my activity level but am now seeing an excellent physiotherapist to get some relief & stretching exercises. MFP is an excellent tool.

Hello Margaret ....I'm 60 years old & have been using MFP for 14 months & have lost 35 pounds to date. For me, this has been an excellent tool to assist me along the journey to health - both physical & emotional. My advice is to take a meal at a time, forgive yourself if you have a bad day, try to do a bit of gentle…

Hello jemhh. Take a big bow .....congrats to you on your success!! Just curious ....do you still have sleep apnea? I was diagnosed w/ this 6 years ago & use a CPAP machine at night. I'm hoping once I lose another 30 pounds [have already dropped 30+] the sleep apnea will disappear. Thanks.

Can someone help? How do you change your macros as "ndj1979" suggests. I've gone into Settings but can't see how to make any changes to macros. Thanks!

Two things: I can get up easily & quickly from a chair because my big tummy has shrunk! I noticed some slack in my seat belt when I buckled up for my plane ride at Christmas! Nice. :p

Hello PianoRun! I'll be turning 60 in a few months & have lost 30 pounds since joining MFP in April. Slow but steady & even though I see lots of folks reporting incredible amounts of weight loss in short periods of time, I believe us more mature gals experience weight loss at a slower rate & that's perfectly fine with me.…

Hello ...although I am much, more older than you I'd like to offer my input. I had initial success w/ Weight Watchers years ago & successfully maintained a 25 pound weight loss until .....kids, career, etc. I did rejoin WW 5 years ago but found I was OBSESSED with food. Last April I came across MFP, a wonderful site with a…

Thanks again for your advice. Today I completed w1d2 :D A few months ago, I did invest in some good fitting running shoes [the sales person spent 1 hour helping me select the best for my pronating foot]. I also have orthotics so I feel I've taken care of footwear issues. Now ....the fun begins, right? :# My plan is to…
