it always comes off the problem areas last :) keep going! Exercise will help the hips and thighs - try Jillian Michaels 30 Day shred (on youtube) - some great squats and lunges on there that will certainly help! good luck!

i bought online from amazon.co.uk but Lucy Bees is in sainsburys with all the other oils :) It's £5.99 for a 300ml jar
-
haha! i tried it too as a spread and in coffee ....eeeuuuuwwww! however ... i've discovered it varies between brands! I have a Fushi organic extra virgin oil that looks very pearly in the jar and i use for cooking and on my skin and its great (but i didn't like it as a spread at all). Lucy Bees extra virgin coconut oil is…

Is the 6'week ab pack on YouTube or online somewhere? That sounds like a good plan to add for my problem area - my legs are good so I'd kind of like to add a bit more abs to complete my workout on the shred and work even harder on the old waistline to prep for level 2.
-
Me too, level 1 day 2. It's good, a bit hard on the knees and not enough ab work .... Yet! I may do just 5 days on this then move on to level 2 as I'm on a deadline to shift jelly belly, my legs are in pretty good shape though these squats sure work my posterior!

You've been given some good advice by grandevampire. You can up your protein by eating more salmon, more chicken, brazil nuts (and other nuts), chickpeas, cottage cheese, eggs. And all food has calories hunny bun! even Sri Lankan! The food database includes spices, herbs and pretty much anything you can think of. Type in…

mmmm! looks delicious, bumping for later! thanks :)

bump to digest fully later!

For what it's worth I say forget attempting to follow one diet or the other and scrap Weight Watchers altogether .. simply eat a well balanced diet that includes good fats, protein, vegetables, fruits and whole foods (if you like). Measuring and portion control will help you get started then you can start working on the…

it seems there are quite a few people here who must employ an interior decorator if they seriously think that painting walls in a house doesn't make you work up a sweat and burn calories!!! It's an entirely physical activity!!!
-
i'd probably go for cleaning - there are two choices in the database, light moderate effort or vigorous. You can enter your weight and the number of minutes and it works out the calories for you. And yes, I agree, it is worth counting!
-
yes, I did day 1 level 1 yesterday! I'm doing it on Youtube - do I do the same workout for 10 days? then move on to level 2? I didn't find it too difficult to be honest - it's actually a bit less than my own routine. I'm worried there isn't enough in it for my abs. (I guess I really should give it more time though before…

I'm an apple shape too .. Losing everywhere except the waist right now grrrrr! Totally normal, it'll come off ... eventually! I'm concentrating on exercise to shape up now, I eat healthy, diary is open, don't know if my diet is helping or hindering the apple shape to be honest - I don't need to lose more weight but I do…
-
its a nice menu but its not enough! It adds up to 1240 then you should ADD on your exercise calories of 500 to give you a total of 1740 calories through food and drink for the day. If you don't want to eat all of the exercise calories you should at least add half back - so that would mean you need to eat at least 1490…

we have the same goal and I'm in the UK :) I hate the term 'eating clean'. However, I do eat healthily and avoid unnecessary chemicals and processing of my foods (i don't eat aspartame, artificial flavourings/colourings/sweeteners, hydrogenated fats, the plethora of E numbers etc etc and I don't eat microwaved food). I…

macros are the 'finer detail' of your food. Protein, carbohydrates, fat are the three main macros that MFP defaults to. You can customise your settings in MFP to measure whatever you want eg protein, calcium, iron, sodium, fibre and so on. There are lots of threads in the forums and of course on google - you might want to…

here's a couple of extras you might like to top up your day :) cottage cheese eggs (fresh, if you eat them) chick peas (and other beans and lentils too, I use tinned in water with no added salt - easier than soaking overnight) veg sticks avocado nuts (all kinds - my personal favourite is brazil nuts) peanut butter ryvita…
-
Oh we do do peanut butter, crunchy and smooth! But that's about it! (Unless you go to a health food store like holland and barretts where they've started to stock a few more nut butters - rather pricey though!)
-
I'm using extra virgin coconut oil, Lucy Bee's is creamy and like a butter and I can eat it as a spread. I didn't like the Fushi/Kathryns extra virgin coconut oil as a spread though, its good for cooking but not as creamy as the Lucy Bees. We don't really 'do' a lot of nut butters in England, they're something of a gourmet…

Yes, this is very true. I don't need or want to lose any more weight actually, at my age I think it's important to have good fat for future health- I think I need a change of mindset and focus on the goal physique. Thanks for turning the lightbulb on!
-
Thank you. I'm not convinced they work particularly well either, guess ill keep at it and try improve my form and try lose those last few pounds too.
-
I think any nuts are good, I like Brazil nuts for the good oil and high zinc and vitamin e content (and the taste!) you're welcome to check out my diary - our loss goal is similar and I'm almost there within the 12 weeks I set as my target. Last week was busy at work so not the best but if you scroll back you'll see my…

Uh oh! Here we go again! You and I have different opinions on this one as we've already clearly established! And thats why I said what works for me ... I didn't criticise protein powder in my post, I gave MY well-intentioned advice to the OP. Please don't hijack the OPs question and the advice she's looking for from a…

Hi, I peeked at your diary for the last week and it looks fine to me! If you keep along the same track you should see results :) You should eat more vegetables, you could up the protein (more lean meat and fish) - I find higher (natural) protein works better for me. What worked last time you lost weight?
-
Totally normal! you are very lucky! Most people can pinch an inch (at least!) You're young, the skin is still nice and elastic, this is to your advantage. Keep up the good work, don't expect miracles overnight, it'll take probably 3 months to see a massive improvement (and poking and prodding and being critical of yourself…

I'm the same, just can't stomach it! I changed my diary meal title to Morning 7am-12noon so i didn't have to feel I was doing a bad thing by not eating 'Breakfast' (not that I care, I haven't eaten it in about 35 years since my mum stopped nagging me before school!). I do eat when I'm hungry though which is about 3 hours…

you're doing great and you look just fine. Stretch marks do fade to a light silvery colour in time and I've found when I lose weight on my tummy the skin kinds of comes together and makes them even less noticeable (mine are post pregnancy and a few on my thighs, I admit, I'm lucky). Bio-oil is very good for stretch marks,…

personally, i would freeze them after cooking. The dough is quite wet - i think freezing would make them very very sticky.
-
I divided the dough into 6 and rolled it out, it's quite wet so you have to put them on a baking sheet (floured, or onto baking parchment so they don't stick). I didn't need to turn them.
