If you do go to a gym try and go at the same time every time. You'll see the same people and feel more comfortable as you see familiar faces.

I agree...X-country skiing is great exercise. Can't be done in Connecticut right now but I'm sure that will change soon.

Best of luck pware101. Keep us informed of your progress.

I'm a blackened chicken fajita fan. How bad can that be?

For me it's first thing in the morning. Out of bed and to the gym (dressed of course). Otherwise I get too caught up with other things. If you feel light-headed, start slow and go easy at first. I think no matter what time you go it's important to get into a routine of going to the gym at the same time each day.

Good Luck! It doesn't happen overnight so stick to it.

Hi Katie. The best motivation is that getting out there and moving is good for you, mentally and physically. Develop a habit and stick to it. Your a nice looking woman, you wont have any problem finding another partner if you want. Good Luck!

Only you know when your cheating but it must bother you and you know it does not do you any good. Maybe commit to keep it honest for just one week to start and go from there.

Stay away from the spring ab device. They don't do much good. Join a gym or local YMCA, if available, that have a good variety of machines, weights and cardio.

You can add me if you like. I also log each day.

Why not start with some YouTube videos or books first. Then if you feel after that you still need a trainer, hire one that specializes in novice lifters.

How about stir-fry chicken with your favorite vegetables.

I drank coffee with sugar for many years. One day I just quit the sugar and have not missed it one bit. Now I think my coffee would be too sweet if I added any. Why not just try that for a week and see if you can eliminate the sugar (and substitutes) altogether.

I track my steps also. I have a daily goal of doing 10,500. MFP does adjust the amount of calories you can eat that day.

Good luck Vanessa. Slow and steady.

I think it takes longer than 3 weeks to see much of a change. Keep doing what your doing, maybe switch off from the 30 minutes on the stairmaster to a treadmill and walk or run for 45 minutes to an hour.
