  • Currently 9 weeks postpartum with an amazing little boy! I'm also breastfeeding exclusively and I had trouble figuring out how many calories I needed to maintain. In turn I have lost 38 lbs since having my LO and am only 3lbs away from my prepregnancy weight of 135 with no exercise other than a few walks a week. I have…
  • Not bad at all, considering sometimes it's hours between when I have a chance to eat because of my little ones schedule.
  • Just seems like alot for someone who is mostly sedentary, I've read about alot of more active people eating only slightly more. I guess I was wondering if there would be any effects of that much protein being mostly sedentary
  • I am also breastfeeding my LO, in the beginning I was CONSTANTLY snacking. I wasn't particularly hungry but I always had my head in the snack cupboard or in the fridge. I planned out my days calories the night before to include 2-3 snacks. I ensured my (planned) snacks were healthy (nuts, seeds, crackers, cheese, yogurt…
  • @mendaj - it's crazy even after increasing my calories to over 2000 I have lost another 1.6lbs in 4 days. Which means if I use the "3500 calories = one pound" I would have needed an additional 1400 each day! That's over 3000 calories.and that's with no exercise!! Who eats this much!? I'm going to the Dr on Tuesday for a…
  • During my pregnancy I gained slightly more than I should have. I started out at 5"5 and 135lbs and was 178 when I delivered my almost 9lbs baby boy. About a week after giving birth I weighed myself because I was curious to see how much came off, I was 155lbs. At that point I had no idea how many calories I needed to…
  • Thanks guys! I will definitely add both of you :)
  • I lost 30 lbs between April 2013 and October 2013, during this time i only went down 1 pants size and 1 shirt size. I have been maintaining (through logging calories alone due to health related issues) since October and have seen my body change considerably. I have since lost another pants size as well as another shirt…
  • I've been on MFP for about 6 months and I'll be turning 23 in a month :) but would love some more supportive friends!!
  • Dont worry about it and eat what you want, just make sure it fits into your dayly requirements. I eat at Mcds multiple times a week("healthier choices") and I've still managed to lose over 20lbs so far.
  • Awesome, thanks guys! I'll check out the sites youve suggested :)
  • No need to be rude, and I am definately not making excuses I am trying to give additional information that may be relevent. I am trying to do many of the things you are saying, you must not have looked far enough back in my diary if you looked at all. I eat apples and peanut butter together usually, not every day though,…
  • I probably should have stated I dont really like breads and other carbs, I've never really been a fan of them. They fill me up too much and often give me that uncomfortable feeling (no pain just uncomfortably full). I do try my best to reach as close to my carb goals as possible everyday. And as for the eggwhites it was…
  • Also I've opened up my diary so you may be able to give me some better advice. Thanks again for all the suggestions! :)
  • Thanks for the reply! I'm just worried about staying over the 1200 net calories most days i usually add an extra snack to get myself over 1200, I'm worried if I only eat when I'm hungry I will be eating too little and slow my metabolism right down.
  • If i were to only eat when I was hungry I would most likely skip dinner everynight. I often end up eating dinner at 9pm because I cant stomach anything earlier than that because I'm still full from lunch and my afternoon snack (which I dont always eat either)
  • Since starting the 30 day shred I have been planning my next days meals based on the exercise I know I will be doing and plan to eat most of the exercise calories but when it comes down to eating it I'm too full.
  • I did eat more when I was younger and balooned to 200lbs by the time I was 13 and once I got to highschool I changed my eating habits drastically but still did little exercise so I dropped down to roughly 170lbs and then struggled with and ED for about 4 years and in that time only dropped to my lowest of 145, and…
