  • Hi Guinevere96, Are you still interested in jump starting this group? If so, I am willing to join with you.
  • I don't do a restart. I will usually do two or three 30-minute sessions -- one in the morning, one in the afternoon (at lunch) and one in the evening. :o
  • Monna2 -- You can do this!! Listen to everyone on this feed. You have tons of experienced weight losers giving you advice. Incorporate some type of physical activity into your day. If you are self-conscious about exercising at a gym, Leslie Sansone has walking dvds that you can purchase (or you can go to youtube and try…
  • Try using an easy curl bar.

  • This is what Coach Wayne from beach body says, "It has the “exercise” feature, but I prefer to just leave that empty since I don’t try to add calories back for exercise. I have a daily total of calories I’m shooting for and I don’t want to adjust for exercise. (You can also create your exercises if you like to track that…
  • Hi All, I was an avid walker (up to 7-10 miles per day). Had lost 47 lbs. Go off track. I went for a walk this morning prior to logging in. Walked 52 minutes. I started walking with Leslie Sansone and had wonderful results. I have about 5 or 6 of her dvds. I love that they low impact and you can pace yourself. In addition,…

  • Will someone tell me how you "bump". I've lost so many connections on post. Thank you.
  • Hi All, This is a wonderful group. Should continue to log in everyday. I love my pedometer!!!!. I was up to 14,000+ steps a day (averaging about 7-10 miles a day). I fell off in December 2012. Even so, I never stopped wearing my pedometer. Let's try to set some weekly goals. My weekly goal is: 60,000 steps JOIN ME!!!…
  • This makes excellent sense to me. I have decided to do the same thing. Only bite off what I can chew. So far, it has worked. Good work to you too!!!
  • The dates sounds good to me. Let's try to keep this going through the end of the year at least!
  • I'm in: SW: 199.4 GW: 192 Personal Challenge: Walk (at least) 30 minutes a day, start Slim 'N' 6 and do some light weight training (I hurt my left arm).
  • Are you seeing any results from the Butt Bible dvd? I tried when it was offered through DirecTV, but it was long enough for me to realize any results. Just wondering?????
  • At the very beginning where it says ABOUT ME: it states you are a certified personal trainer. So everyone will be misled.
  • Thanks Faking Fitness. I'm in for the copper. Will start tonight. This will be a real challenge for me. Do planks REALLY work your core???
  • I still don't understand the 30x x 30s x 30s. Is this just one plank that you are holding for 30 seconds each? I want to be in, but need to understand.
  • I want to be in, but what does 30s x 30s x 30s mean. I know the "s" means seconds, but how to do you perform these? Are you doing a set of 30 in 30 seconds????
  • I agree. She doesn't appear to want any help from this site. She is disregarding what everyone has told her. Maybe she will listen to her doctor. In all actuality, that's where she should have started, especially knowing that she wasn't going to listen to strangers.

  • I agree, lifting, carrying, tearing down. I asked my husband, doesn't this count as strength training. :-)
  • Not as well as expected. However, I did lose 1 lb. My eating is good, I just can't seem to be consistent with exercising. We are in the middle of remodeling the garage and my schedule is off.
  • Already walked 1.83 miles. Plan to work out on the eliptical and finish up w/slim 'n' 6. If all goes well should be a good day
  • Did pretty good. Walk/ran 5 miles on Saturday. Worked in the yard (edging, sweeping, etc.), planted flowers and vegetables.. Cooked a healthy meal. Overall Saturday was a good day. But Sunday, my husband wanted to go to the DREADED  Olive Garden. I went well over my calories. I did do some running in place when I…
  • Hi Everyone, I started losing weight July 23, 2012. As of November 2012, I had lost 49 lbs. Down from 237 lbs to 189. Alas, the holidays showed up and I initially gained 3 lbs, then an additional 7lbs. So right now, I am still up 8 lbs. I have lost my momentun and have been struggling with getting back active. I ran a mile…
  • Okay, I'm joining in the challenge as of today. I did 28 yesterday. I will add 12 to the squats for today and continue on through day 30. :ohwell:
