One thing that will make it easier is to grill up your meat on the weekend. For example: Get some boneless, skinless chicken breasts and put some Mrs. Dash (no added calories or sodium) and throw them on the grill. You can reheat them and use them for meals throughout the week. Feel free to add me and ask any questions you…

Unfortunately there are kids who can control their parents. I don't have kids, but have foster siblings. My rule and my moms is that if you don't eat your food, you don't get desert. There are some one their first day who ask for a substitution, so it's a learned behavior.

Make some baked sweet potato fries. My guess is you are craving the salty flavor. If you need the salty flavor there are salt alternatives (like No Salt), that taste salty but have no salt or sodium.

Disagree... After eating healthy you won't have to go to the doctor as much. You may not need certain prescriptions anymore. Also, you lessen your chances of having heart attack, stroke, heart disease etc... That can make your medical bills go high. So, you can buy Easy Mac and Ramon Noodles and save $$ on your grocery…

Lunchables taste good, but are full of sodium and preservatives. Here are some healthy ideas for kids lunches: http://www.fitpiglet.com/Fit_Piglet/SQUEAL_Spiel/SQUEAL_Spiel.html

Good choice!

I'm in the same boat right now...I have lost over 70 lbs, but have cravings for fatty, salty, or sugary foods. I have been consistent on the exercise, but my diet stinks.

I'm on Day 88, but I plan on starting P90 Master Series on Monday. If you want to add me, you may. I enjoyed P90 and am looking forward to P90MS. Don't give up. It may feel monotinous, but it does give you results. (See my ticker below) As Tony says....Keep pushing play!

I like Yasso Greek Yogurt bars. They are all natural and only 70 calories each.

I know there are people that will disagree, but according to the trainer at the boot camp I went to over the summer the calories burned shouldn't be eaten if you want weight loss.
-
Its worked for me since Jan 2011. :-) See the ticker below:

That's a great NSV!

I would suggest the YMCA. They have classes geared toward different aged kids(gymnastics, swimming, martial arts, etc).

I've had a Polar FT1 for a few months so far and love it. It is one of the cheaper ones (I have to goto a website to check my calories burned, but that doesn't bother me).

Publix occasionally has sales on their Greenwise (healthy) food and there is a store called Fresh Market that has weekly sales(not sure if either of those are near you).

How many nights a week have you been exercising? One thing I learned about 6 months ago is that everyone's body needs a day of rest. So, only exercise 6 days a week. That is how I got over a plateau I was on for a while.

I personally have like the Power 90 series (comes before P90x). I think it is a good choice for beginners. It is what I have been using and am almost done with it. Next I'm going to do the Power 90 Master Series (between Power 90 and P90x) Also, if you want, my sister is Beachbody coach and is training to be a personal…

I live in S. Tampa near the base. If you want to add me you may. I can offer tips for nutrition and exercise. I also know a great fitness boot camp that you may be interested in.

It is best to get regular water...because vitamins can easily be obtained from raw fruits and/or vegetables.

You may add me if you want.

Welcome Danyell! If you need any tips on exercise and/or nutrition, you can message me. Also, if you want you can add me on here. My journey is not nearly over, but I'm well on my way. You can do this. It won't be easy, but it is doable and once you start it isn't as hard as you may think.

I asked the same question to my trainer at boot camp about a month ago. She said that I shouldn't eat the calories I burned.

It feels great when people say it without you having to say a thing. Some of the ladies at my work have said to me "You are disappearing" and I smile. Congrats and great job...keep it up!

I recommend a heart rate monitor with a chest strap. Polar is the brand I use/prefer. Some of the models even calculate the calories burned.
