I got the app for my phone and did the trainings to prepare for my first 5K. Granted I wasn't running the full amount of time that the app wanted me to run at the end of the training. You could be burning that many. Are you using a heart rate monitor or just calculating it from this website? The reason I ask is if you want a more accurate result I suggest a heart rate monitor with a chest strap. Are you looking to continue losing or maintaining your current weight?

I got the Polar FT1 as my first one and still use it. I recommend a higher grade Polar than mine because mine doesn't tell the calories burnt. (Unless you don't mind looking it up on a website)

I agree with em9371. Also, when you get canned veggies: look for no added salt, low salt or similar.

I follow the principle 6 good days and one cheat day a week. I don't go to fast food places every week, but I don't feel like I'm on on diet when I can look forward to having something like pizza once a week. My name is Ryan. I'm 35. I started MFP in January 2011. I have lost over 80lbs from watching my calories, doing the Power 90 series, doing a fitness boot camp, and doing the Power 90: Master Series. I'm hoping that I will be fit enough by the new year to be able to do P90X.

200 calories of pecans is better for you than 200 calories of junk food. Pecans have the healthy fats and stuff, but as some others have said....moderation.

You need rest. Just make sure you limit the amount of calories and sodium. Drink plenty of water. Once you get better you can kick some booty! Get well soon!

It is good to hear that I'm not the only one that has silly injuries... There has to be others with bumps, bruises or scrapes that they feel silly or ashamed about.

Toning the muscles will burn calories as well. The routine I follow is alternate days of weight lifting and cardio.

Counting calories isn't a need. I have the FT1 and love it. What I do is go here: http://www.braydenwm.com/calburn.htm It's an extra couple of seconds, but it saved me some $$$.
