I personally recommend the Power 90 system (lost 40+ lbs so far), but a better choice would be to contact my sister. She is training to be a personal trainer and is a beachbody coach. Message me if you want her contact info.

I started in that weight range and it isn't easy. I do suggest you start walking on a regular basis and increase the length of time you walk each week by 10 minutes (or more). Anyhow, if you want you may add me.

Is your machine hooked up to a heart rate monitor? If not that would be the most accurate way to figure it out. Otherwise, both the machine and MFP are merely estimates of how many calories you burned. I found that MFP's estimates were low once I bought a heart rate monitor.

One thing my trainer says "Don't fret about a cheat meal, just move on and don't look back."

Well stated!

My sister and personal trainer have both told me that you should only work out for 6 days a week. Your body needs one day to rest. I was at a plateau in weight loss back in January until I started taking one day off a week from exercise.

Congrats. I started at 369 and have a long road. If you want to add me as a friend...you may.

Summer, Unfortunately, alcohol is made up of sugar, so less calories = less taste. Anyhow, what I would suggest is to limit the alcoholic drinks to 1 and then have either water or unsweetened tea. As far as food, there isn't much that is "healthy", but you can ask if they have salsa....if they do, chips and salsa is…

NSV: I was able to jog 1/4 mile tonight at boot camp. I walked halfway back then busted it out with a jog back.

Make sure the people you eat are healthy though. :-P

I have over 100 to lose, so anyone else that does...feel free to add me.

I did Power 90 Cardio 3/4 minus Yoga this morning. 37 minutes of cardio is a great way to start the day.

I just started reading a book called "Cross Trained" that talks about becoming spiritually and physically fit. Awesome read so far. http://www.amazon.com/Trained-Develop-Maintain-Spiritual-Physical/dp/1891116045/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1308504783&sr=8-1 If you want you may add me.

Tomorrow I start my 1 month fitness boot camp. I'm hoping to get a good butt-kicking for the next month. My main struggle right now is my diet when I am off work on the weekends. TTFN, Hananiah

Make sure you workout 6 days a week. Also, drink plenty of water every day. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and veggies. If you want you may add me as a friend or message me if you have any more questions. TTFN, Hananiah

Sometimes we reach a plateau. They stink, but the way to get your body out of them is to change up your exercise. Drink plenty of water. Make sure you are getting plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. If you have any questions feel free to message me or add me as a friend if you like. TTFN, Hananiah

My sister taught me (she's a personal trainer) that I can have one cheat day a week. It has worked so far for me to continue my weight loss.
-
You may add me if you like.

Thank you for the quick reply. That is what I'll do and this time I plan on sticking with it or as Tony says "Keep Pushing Play" R

I agree with one of the previous posters. It is good to have short term goals on the way to your long term goal. I have lost 45lbs, but have a ways to go just have been doing it one short term goal at a time. Feel free if you would like to add me to your friend list. TTFN, Ryan

That is how it is for me also. I'm less than 2 lbs. from my first goal. I prefer to set multiple mini goals to reach, rather than a big one. TTFN, Ryan

If you are interested, my sister is coach for beach body and could steer you the right direction.

Thanks for the encouragement! I just finished Day 6 this morning. I have noticed that as the week progressed, I have not been able to push as hard with the cardio as I would like. I'm guessing it is due to sore muscles from the days of weight lifting. TTFN, Ryan
