I do intend on beginning a weight lifting routine however I had hurt my back and needed to strengthen that before leaping into anything too intense. Thanks for seeing both sides.

I'm not trying to spot reduce. If you read my post I never said that. I am trying to get atrophied muscle into a built lean muscle which is changing the shape. I am not going to try lifting too much too quickly if I have no core strength. I wish you had read my post a little before replying.

I totally agree with this and all that was stated above. I have hard a rough week but it is nearly over. Even on the days following my crash, I have been doggedly following my healthy plan because regardless of what cravings my body is sending me I know what it need to be healthy. Not everyone loses fast for unhealthy reasons. I am 5'2 CW 216 SW 236.6 GW 135 I eat around 1500 calories a day. I walk 6 days out of the week and swim when I can. I can't lay flat without my back hurting more. I rolled a small towel and slept with it supporting my back last night. I have taken some ibuprofen and that helps.

I half agree with this statement. I exercise 6 days a week and some days I use a few exercise calories and some days I don't touch them. I am still pretty new to this site (5weeks in and 17.9 pounds later) and I find the same thing. I eat 1520 calories a day plus exercise calories. I eat every few hours to get my metabolism burning. I eat smaller more frequent meals and that is really working for me. I would try the tea trick too because it works.

3 months from now I want to be at 200 pounds or a little lower. A year from now I want to be nearly my goal of 135.

I'm just going to point out that you are already well within a healthy weight for your size. I bet anything that you can't lose weight because doing so would be unhealthy. Just trying trimming inches with lifting weights but don't try to lose weight.
