Getting Fit After Baby
Hello, I'm Emily. I lost weight successfully on Myfitnesspal before I was pregnant so I thought I would come back to get back into shape. I was lucky. I only gained 17 lbs while I was pregnant and lost all of it plus 5 pounds after having my son. This left me at 220. I am currently 219. I want to get to 200 this year and…

Thankfully I did not gain any permanent weight during my pregnancy and lost everything after my little manikins was born. I don't want to let…

Time to get a HRM and a digital scale
I am in the market for both of these great items but when I get to the store there are a lot of options. I don't mind spending the money on an item that is worth it. Do any of you have a favorite brand? What should I look for in either the heart rate monitor or the digital scale?

Weight training= no weight loss? Confused
Okay. I decided to begin strength training this week and have done two rounds so far. Abs and upper body day 1 and day 2 was legs and abs again. I also do cardio nearly every single day. I am confused though because I have seen a few threads that say you can't build muscle and loss weight at the same time. I understand…

Pilates--Body Shaping
Okay, I have been doing cardio (walking and swimming) since I started MFP in June. This week I added in Pilates every other day to help shape some muscle in my torso. Now I have a lot of fat still to lose (I'm 215 right now) but I want to get my abs strong to pull in and reshape the way my chubby chub is laying. How so…

Sloppy Eating after 6 weeks of success
I am nearing the end of my seventh week on MFP. The first 6 weeks were great. I lost nearly every week with I know is surprising. I had an iron will against all the poor food choices I had been indulging in that got me to 236.6. I hit 20 pounds down and I hurt my back (trying to run too soon) and suddenly I had two days…

Does this sound good? (Recipe Opinion)
I want to throw two chicken breasts into the crockpot, seasoned with salt and pepper, onion powder and lime juice. Then smother them in salsa, whole kennel corn and diced avocado. Cook until falling apart and serve over brown rice. Sound good? Is that too long to cook avocado? Opinions please.

Did you lose more weight on Clean eaing or calorie deficit
I have been trying to 'eat clean" but due to the shaky nature of the term and my love of a weekly dairy queen blizzard, I don't think I am following that to the letter. I have just hit 20 lost in six weeks while doing a little of both methods. Here is my question; to people who did both methods--did you lose more weight…

Creeping toward a healthy BMI
When I began MFP about 5 weeks ago my BMI was 43.2. It was the highest is has ever been because I was the fattest I have ever been. Now, 17.9 pounds later, I broke into 39.9 BMI! Yay! I know it is still in the obese range but it is down 4 points. I am super proud of that. It is just a little thing that motivates me to keep…

Why it pays to log your calories
Yesterday was a miserable day. My AC broke (90 degree heat) and when I tried on a pair of capris I haven't worn in ages (thinking they might fit) I broke the zipper. It was a bad day. However, I was going to cheer myself up by going bowling with my sister and her BF. Well, I wound up going to Outback for dinner and we…

WHat do you do when you gain or
What do you do when you weigh in and show either a gain or no loss at all? I am usually okay with it because I know that you're not going to lose every week and so far I can see the reasons I didn't lose or gained by checking out my food dairy. From there, I might look at my exercise differently and focus on fewer cards…
