Why don't you try the 17 day diet? It may be a good alternative to what you are considering. It will allow you more variety but still gets some quick results and cleanse your system.

I know exactly how you feel. I have been there, and I still go there from time to time. A few things have worked for me. Setting a diet start date a week in advance helps. It gives time for mental weaning to get any cravings, etc out of the way. Eat normally for the week leading up to the diet day and start to eliminate…

:flowerforyou: Thank you so much!

I wouldn't call 2lbs in 4 days as extreme. I am on day 6 and am down 3lbs. at this rate, I may lose 9 lbs in 17 days. Not enough to make a federal case out of it. It definitely is a low calorie diet. You are not calorie restricted at all, but it is hard to get enough food in to get to a calorie goal because of the lack of…

It is hard. I miss all of my starchy carbs and cheese! But, I do feel satisfied after a meal. I am sticking with it, for now. :)

Although I am about to be a SAHM, I can tell you this. I really believe in the phrase, "A body in motion, stays in motion, a body at rest, stays at rest". I find that when I get up and get moving early in the day, I stay moving and the opposite is true too. Find a daily goal, and promise yourself that you won't rest until…

Yes, ^^^ that.

In January 2011, I began my journey to lose weight and by October, I had lost 30lbs. I was on a very strict calorie and nutrition counting diet and exercising religiously 6 days a week going from one program to another. Initially I started with 1200 calories and then began to eat my exercise calories. I also began eating…

Bump.... anyone?

I can't help you, sorry. I am 3 days into week two and I feel the same way! I did 2 rounds of Insanity and a couple of Jillian Michaels programs, and this is very different. I have decided to complete the program, and see what happens. I don't care if I like it, I just care that it works! lol I agree with the warm up. It…

I think that you are looking at this the wrong way. You wake up sick. When you are sick, you need all of your energy to fight the illness. Your body is working hard and efficiently by generating blood cells to fight the virus and get yourself well. That is calorie expenditure. Your body also needs fuel to make this happen.…

Tracking my sugars got me off of a 3 month weight plateau. I believe that there are certain people (like me) whose body responds negatively to a high amount of sugar. I am also the person who did not lose one pound on the Atkin's diet, and I was in ketosis for 30 days straight. I am an anomaly. lol

Pepperidge Farm Deli Flats w/ low fat peanut butter Salad with Chicken breast, fat free ranch and a bit of buffalo wing sauce I think I eat these two things every single day! I am boring but it is dependable.

Your carbs seem high, and it looks like you are eating the wrong kind of carbs. If you were tracking your sugar, I think you would see that it is too high. Primarily your carbs should come from veggies, fruit and whole grain breads. Instead of white bread, try a whole grain bread. I really like the Pepperidge Farm Deli…

I went through two rounds of Insanity. I never burned the way that others have. My numbers are more in line with you. Bottom line, is that I just sucked it up and logged it as is. If the numbers were wrong, I would benefit from it, because I was eating back only the calories that it told me. If they were right, I was still…

Here is my recipe for Black bean and corn salsa. It is a huge, huge hit at parties and the perfect snack by the pool! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/recipe/edit/1403945

I did it. I feel better. I am still tired but I am not a loser!
-
ok, Ok, OK! :grumble: I hate you all. But thanks......

No, I don't know anyone else on our time frame. There used to be an Insanity group, it must be around here somewhere. I haven't seen it for a while, but I have been posting kind of sporadically. I love your enthusiasm! Round 1, I got some great results, but round 2 the results are even better. I feel leaner and stronger…

Wow! That is great! How do you find the energy???

Hello, on round two of Insanity. Going into recovery week on Monday. Knowing what to expect, has me more nervous than the first time. I am dreading month two! Maybe you can help me stay on track?

I have a Biology Degree and have taken A&P. I know that being successful means becoming as educated as possible. I am more interested in field advice versus educational advice. Such as great sources for workouts, music, exercise libraries, equipment, etc....

Bump

Yes, I do think that going over in sugar can participate in a weightloss plateau! I am living proof of that. I never counted sugar grams until I was on my 2nd month of no weight loss. When I looked back, I was over in sugar every single day for as long as I could see. I didn't realize how many foods had sugar grams that I…

I am on week 8. My only advice is that you will, at some point, hit a wall and feel like maybe you can't keep doing it. Push through that wall! I felt like that at the end of week two and then again at the end of week 7. My body was breaking down, but then it dawned on me that pushing through where I would typically quit…

If you are not sure, why not check out the Cross Fit Website and follow their workout of the day for a while and see if you like it? Many of the exercises can be modified to be used at a regular gym or at home with the right equipment. I did it for a year from home, but I was not dedicated in the way that you need to be…

I am a stress eater too. I am also a full time working mom. I find that working out in the evening helps me curb the snacking at night. Friend me!

I had a powerful fan blowing straight on me the whole time. It helped a little..... Wow, I am such a baby. lol
-
How do you stay motivated? I have to literally force myself to workout! Or do anything, really. lol
-
Thanks. I wasn't sure, and I find it hard to eat all my calories to begin with. I am really trying hard to keep motivated but this heat is making it so hard!
