I thought the recommendation to get the max health benefits was 2 bottles. Step up your game man.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the Paleo diet itself. Its very healthy. Its also very extreme. All of the health and wellness benefits claimed by Paleo, I achieved long before hearing about Paleo. My personal problem with Paleo is those who follow it who claim its the "One True Way" to eat. I've cut a lot of…

The amazing thing is if you have two runners on the same sidewalk run by each other...the wind is blowing into each of their faces. As for the OP...you should see a doctor.

Why do you want minimalist shoes? I'd go to a running store and let them analyze your gait. If you are flat footed you probably need shoes that provide you support. Be careful with picking your shoes or you could end up with injuries. Happened me a few years ago and it sucked!

How do you manage to eat it so slowly??

I really like my FitBit One

I also disagree with most but #7 is pretty sad. I love to travel and one of the best things that other areas of the country and world have to offer is their unique food experiences. I think you can't experience a culture without really experiencing their food!

http://www.runnersworld.com/beginners/how-start-running-abandon-all-reason Good article (pretty funny...I'm sure most of us who run started this way...)

I'm currently training for a marathon and my running plan is currently 4 days per week though I plan to up it to 5 in a couple more weeks.

Yeah but your butt is really going to hurt 8)

I think a diet of gemstones would be fairly low calorie...

I used to hate running. Then I just started doing it a few years ago. I can't imagine hating it anymore. I hate when I get out of my routine! http://www.runnersworld.com/beginners/how-start-running-abandon-all-reason Abandon all reason! Start running! That's how I basically started.

HRMs aren't perfect but if you want a good estimate you'll be happy with Polar. If you give it all the information it wants and let it calculate your VO2max. That number won't be perfect but it will be pretty good. With all that data then Polar does a really good job of calculating calories. Still just an estimate but I…

Disney Marathon on January 13th. Marathon on my birthday!

If only we could all eat like Pinkie Pie...

lol, yeah, they do like their pastries which probably aren't the best thing for this site. 8)

What? Only the fastest and coolest pony for me!

I usually either watch live or a DVR it

Completely depends on the anime. Newer shows have excellent dubbing and voice acting. Anything Studio Gibli has awesome production values so no problem with dubs. But for shows that have anything less than stellar dubbing, I'll take the subs. And sometimes I just like watching the subs anyway just because its fun to watch…

I live on the road so this is something I deal with constantly. The thing to do is know what restaurants you'll be going to before hand and check out their menus. If you know what they serve you can plan your meals much easier.

Especially early on you definitely want to be careful. Your body won't complain for a few weeks and then one day you could find yourself with shin splints which just take forever to recover from. Train consistently and you can work up to 5 days a week no problem but just do it slowly 8)

Its very sad but unfortunately these things can and do happen. When I was growing up my next door neighbor was an avid marathoner and while training for a race he passed away one night after a hard training run. Turns out he had eaten some sushi with a dangerous bacteria in it and his hard run had weakened his immune…

Insanity is really hard. I'm on week 5 right now and despite being an avid runner, when I started Insanity I thought I was going to die. I have a friend though who did it who was much less fit than me. The key with Insanity is just know your limits. Shaun T stresses the whole time that if you feel you need to stop...then…

Running is really hard. When I started running 4 years ago, I didn't even look at distance. I just would see how long I could run. First it was maybe 5 - 10 minutes. But I just increased that time slowly. When I was running 20 minutes at a time then I started to look at my distance. So you didn't fail...you had a great…

I would just record it as a 5k run and know that you did more than just run ;) That's pretty hard to log but have fun!

Well, there's a huge variance. I think Polar when it comes to calories burned is probably more accurate than Timex. I say that having, just today, switched from my RS300x running watch to the new Timex Run Trainer. I did a 4 mile, 40 minute run today that I didn't even consider particularly hard and my new Timex said I…

I had the original nook and upgraded to the nook touch when it came out. I love it. Its small and light and the touch screen is great. The price is now $99 which is the same price as the Kindle Touch but the Kindle at that price requires ads. (Sure they say they're not obtrusive but I'll take my nook with non-existant…

The only way to know your true max HR is to push yourself to it...preferably with a doctor's supervision. As far as if that's accurate...I burn 550 - 600 on an hour long run and an elliptical is going to be less intense than that. I would say you're getting a somewhat decent reading there.

It took more than 2 weeks to put it on. It'll take more than that to take it off ;) Don't worry, it'll happen!
