I love our PF. I have been to other gyms, more power-lifting based, but I just love the environment of PF.

I quit listening to that stupid chart after I started lifting weights and realized I never wanted to do anything else. I'm also 5'6". At 160lbs of just cardio, dieting, and no lifting I was a size 12/14 and looked and felt every bit of it. At 160lbs while doing nothing but lifting weights I am a size 8 and healthy and…

Thanks to PCOS/Hirsutism, I've been best friends with my razor since the summer before my High School year. (Looooong time ago.) When I was around 28 I went back to my OBGYN and told her I was tired of having shaving as a morning routine, but didn't have the funds to do laser, so I went on BControl. (My testosterone level…

If he lifts less weight than I do. :D No, seriously, probably only thing that would bother me is hygiene related. If you own a toothbrush but don't use it, only shower twice a week, or for whatever reason have sworn off deodorant; we're not gonna work.

I'm looking to drop about 30 over the next 3 months, time to do a cut! Feel free to friend me =)

What megs said. I've been "dieting" for LOTS of years. Here's the summary of the difference over the last few years. Jogging 20 mins 5XWeek - 5'5.5" - 160lbs - Size L/Size 12 - Starving on 1200 Calories Lifting weights 3XWeek NO CARDIO - 5'5.5" - 160lbs - Size M / Size 8 - Full on 1800 Calories Body comp. Oh man, I can totally mindless eat! I can grab a box of Wheat Thins out of the cupboard and be like "Okay, only going to eat 10 of these for a snack" and BOOM half the box is gone. Problem solver? Only take 10 to begin with. ;)

Been on this journey for a long time! Started at 226, down to 177 ... have gone from cardio to weight lifting and loving the muscular results.

I had mobility issues with my ankles for a while, especially in my right one because I had fractured it and it healed super tight. I couldn't even do lunges on that side for a while. Start doing mobility work, with ankles AND hips. Your hips could be tight. Tight shoulders can throw off your squat form as well, so mobilize…

Sure do! Went rock climbing/jumping September of 2016 ... jumped off a high rock that I shouldn't have and landed on my ankle wrong, it rolled INWARDS (as apposed to out). Fractured it. The fracture is healed but the peroneal tendon has not. "BabyLovesToRun" has been reduced to no running for over a year. I have tried, but…

I love my Polar FT7, it has a chest strap which tracks your heart rate while you're working out to give you an idea of calorie burn. I highly suggest it!

______ FEEL FREE TO ADD ME AS A FRIEND - Only serious active individuals, however. I've been here for quite a while. I'm also a weight lifter (badly injured ankle for a year now, so no running, focus has been adding muscle), so like-minded people more than welcome! STARTING WEIGHT AND DATE WITH MFP: 226.8LBS CHALLENGE…

Gimme that bulk!!! (I need more lifting buddies, if you're active and really into it, send me a friend request!)

I'm in love with the iron ;)

Start lifting those weights girl and get some muscle! It wont rid of the loose skin, thats a surgery thing, I live with mine proudly. When lifting, go heavy, dont go light. Aim for a weight that lets you do 5 sets of 5, those last 2 reps of each set should be almost impossible to complete but get it done.

The real question is what do you want the most? Do you want the food that has put you in your current "I need to go on a diet" mode or do you want the body you're dreaming of? I'll allow myself to indulge on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, but the rest of them are going to be spent putting in the work!!

I'll join ya!

Protein is your friend, I'm usually not hungry after lifting either. I DO take BCAA though, I've found that it actually does keep some of the soreness down after a heavy workout.

I wear my polar watch with chest strap during any workout, so, yes, I count mine. I go hard when I'm there and can have a 600 calorie burn for an hour to 75 minutes. I earned those, so it counts to me!

Unfortunately, yes. I've had some good friends lose touch with me, one of them even told me they didn't want to hang out with me anymore because I no longer wanted to go out and devour restaurant food with them anymore, in all seriousness. Sometimes you just have to choose YOU, if your friends can't understand that or…

I always preach one word .... WATER WATER WATER! Be sure to not drink your calories and drink plenty of the water goodness, it REALLY does help in getting the lbs off.

Once I purchased my Garmin I quit using the phone Aps. I used the Garmin and RunKeeper to compare a couple days, RunKeeper was off by up to .20 of a mile. I also noticed that, after paying attention, it always marked my 1 mile mark in a different spot every day. Also, just focus on the time, don't worry about how much…
