Thanks! Thanks for all the *positive* replies!

The title of your post made me think you were criticising ALL Greek yogurts. Now I see you just mean the flavoured ones. Phew! I LOVE natural Greek yogurt and it's great in moderation. Yum yum.

I didn't say that's all I want. I was curious as to how much calorie reduction alone can cause weight loss. As I said, I will be exercising as well.

Thanks again for all your advice. I'm going to buy some resistance bands/tubes. These look good: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9102538.htm

That comment is not nice or necessary, is it?

Thank you ALL so much for your answers! Although I am not so big, I need to lose FAT so I need to work out as well as reduce my calorie intake, don't I? Thanks a lot, I knew you'd have words of wisdom for me and I really appreciate it. Most people mention strength training rather than cardio, is that right? THANKS AGAIN! :)

You look amazing! Well done. :)

Feel free to add me if you want to. MFP is a great place to give and receive support!

I was led to believe that roasted nuts are bad and raw nuts have the good fats. Is that wrong? Hmm...

I am 100% an emotional eater. My natural eating habits are so unhealthy. I go from one extreme - hardly eating for hours - to binge eating. I also try not to have my usual comfort foods at home - chocolate, crisps, cakes, cheese (all the Cs) oh, and pizza! Now that I've listed those, I really want pizza. I definitely eat…

"For me the self control is not starting to eat whatever it is, because once I start I don't stop until its gone. So I guess the moderation has to happen before the eating starts" - Yes, same here! If I don't start, I'm usually ok. I do get sugar cravings but they are getting better, I think. A friend recommended taking…

I'm 5' 3 and my weight is considered within the healthy zone BUT the fat on my body is badly distributed. I have a tiny frame and I'm tiny in places (wrists and ankles) but really BIG in others (thighs, stomach, hips, upper arms). I'm totally out of proportion and it looks awful. I have rolls of flab and loads of…

I'm new myself (been here since Saturday) and I've already found this to be a great site for supporting and encouraging each other through the good and the bad. I've just added you! Be kind to yourself! :)

I have added the original poster. I am here as someone who hopes to give and get support as we all face our weight/fitness challenges. I'm a 33 year old female, 5 foot 3, with flab and cellulite to get rid of. Anyone can add me. :)

I'm new (this is my second day) and would love to be MFP friends with people who I can encourage and who will encourage me. I am 33, female, 5' 3, looking to lose around 10kg.

I have 10kg to lose and I was very surprised when MFP set my daily goal to 1200 cals a day. MFP should explain that these daily goals include calories burnt through exercise and that people shouldn't only be eating 1200 calories a day. Does that sound right?

How does the kettle bell work? It sounds like they're great for burning calories. I was looking at exercise equipment yesterday and I saw one but I don't know how they work. Thanks!

I'm 5' 3 as well. I spent 25 years being super-skinny and in the last 2/3 years I've just got fatter and fatter. In the last year it's happened really fast and it's scary! I need to get this under control before I end up obese. Maybe us 5' 3 girls could support each other?
