Wasn't planning to exercise in a gym or anywhere enclosed, aside from my home where I live alone.

Thank you all very very much for getting back to me! I think the cold is in my head but I feel very run down and it took all my effort to shower earlier. I might go for a walk just so I get outside for a few minutes and move my body a little but I'll leave it at that. Thanks again to everyone who replied! :)

I have learnt that I can't sleep when I'm hungry. Even if I don't feel the hunger, I will feel the effects of not eating enough and it will keep me awake. I have to eat something to be able to sleep. In my opinion, under-eating definitely causes sleeplessness.

Thank you! :D

That's great and swimming is such a brilliant form of exercise! Stay positive! :) In other news, could someone tell me what NSV stands for? Thanks! :)

Cucumber slices instead of crackers is a great idea!

I tried fat free and low fat Greek yogurt and it was gross. It has to be full fat for me, so I limit myself to 2/3 pots of 200g a week. I love it too much to totally give it up. Enjoy it, just keep an eye on your calorie intake.

Look at that hot bod! Well done!

Hi, I'm 33 and I'm 5 foot 3 as well. I live in London. I'll send you a friend request now. All the best!
-
Well done! You have made so much progress! Keep up the great work! :)

Really? So I can stick to Jack Daniel's and soda? :) I thought that whiskey was quite bad.

Totally agree with other posters - don't increase resistance as much as the instructor tells you, if at all. It's an intense workout and the seats hurt but it's great! Good luck and enjoy the feeling of achievement afterwards!

Great, I'll check it out. Thanks!
-
Thank you both! I'll look them up tomorrow. :)

Hi, I'm also a London girl and I'm not very good at the exercise bit. My problem isn't so much lack of time as lack of energy and discipline. Maybe we can encourage each other. I'll send you a friend request.

You look great. I've always been too scared to do the 30 day shred but maybe I will do it after all. Keep up the great work! :)

I'm an Aquarius so I suppose it's just water for me. :/

Photos and recipe, please! :)

I wish it was that easy. It certainly isn't for me. :/

Amazing result! You look great. Well done! :)

I'm feeling the same. My mouth's watering for some comfort food! Have you worked out how many calories you burned on your elliptical? Maybe you can eat back some of those calories with a healthy comforter, like some fruit? I know, I know, I want cheese cake and pizza etc. as well but we're supposed to be kicking these…
-
I think you look great in both photos, although the later ones are a definite motivation for working out! Well done! :)

Wow, 'Intensity' is so expensive and the '30 day shred' reviews make it sound like a killer. I'm in a similar position and need to lose flab but I am SO unfit and I'm intimidated by these intense workouts.

I also think it's sensible to gradually build up your exercise as it will be less of a shock to the system. Also you need to start building a sustainable routine rather than pushing yourself extremely hard right from the start and then finding it difficult to keep that up. I'd definitely choose the walk if I were you. It's…

I'm 5' 3 and I WISH I weighed 110-120. I used to weight 100. That was a long time ago now! :( You definitely need to up your calories on exercise days or your body will suffer. Keep up the great work!

YOU WILL DO IT and we'll all support you through it. MFP is the best place to be. I'll send you a Friend Request. :)

Of course, yeah. I read that and then forgot it. Oops. You're right, in theory it should work out. So maybe I can have a treat on the weekend, although I know I have to be careful as once I start eating certain things, I just want more and more. I have to be selective! Thanks for replying!
-
OK, that makes sense. Thanks! It's good to know it worked ok for you! What does everyone else think?

5.5 lbs in 3 weeks is amazing! I really hope I can achieve even close to that in my first 3 weeks (I'm 5 days in). Don't beat yourself up about lapses, just start again the next day and you will be fine. You are doing brilliantly! If you need more support on here, feel free to add me and there are plenty of other lovely…

Now I want banana bread! Drool.
