I wanted to add, I read a lot of the remarks in the Community area - gives me motivation to keep going!

Tired of my work wardrobe that consists of about 7 outfits I wear over and over. Finally this morning I fit into a top that I haven't worn in a year. Gives me hope for the rest of my saved clothing!

My name is Val and my younger sister used to call me "The Big Valley", when we were kids, mostly because of the TV show but as an overweight adult it isn't funny anymore and I cringe whenever I hear it. Yeah it's totally a mental thing but I'd like to brush it off someday. It's not as much petty as it is a Peeve.

My husband loves those 3% fruit infused sparkling waters and it helped him kick the cola habit. He also lost about 12 pounds in 3 weeks.

Thanks! I also find that making sure I'm feeding myself good-for-me food, those cravings are not as intense.

Want to lose 10 by Halloween! Got a great costume idea in mind and want it to work for me. I've lost 30 and have 30 to go before I'm really comfortable but just getting 10 more off is a fair goal for the short term.

I am a very moderate exerciser. I take a 1 mile walk daily with my dog and have lost 30 pounds since late March. Still have 30 to go. But I also push mow, go up and down stairs at home and work, etc... For me, following a generic form of Weight Watchers points plus worked amazingly well. Yes, it's counting BUT if you learn…

You really have to experience it yourself. Migrating over to your previous eating habits can make you instantly more sluggish and give you headaches. Down 30 lbs now, I attended a weekend family event where I went overboard on bread, burgers and snackage - and once I came back to work on Monday I felt like face-planting my…

I started in late March, using a generic WW Points system and I walk a mile a day. Doesn't sound too exciting a plan but I'm 56 and have lost 30 pounds. I've slacked last few weeks due to vacation (no gains yay...), so I'm back to my spreadsheet and walking my dog. Hope to be down another 15 by end of Oct.

Yesterday I realized that I don't need to shop in the Ladies department (W16 & above) any more! No more hideous 2X shirts with horrific colors/patterns. Why do clothes manufacturers think large women like capped sleeves and horizontal stripes?

Sorry it was duplicated

Five co-workers all packed into a 13 Ford Escape for a brief meeting across town, two in front, three in back (one of the being me), -- and for the first time since forever I didn't feel like the awkward fat woman that everyone else had to accommodate. :-)

TOTALLY relate to that! My office chair has arms that move outward if needed. These days I don't need them in their pushed out position any more! Woo hoo!

The small things are so important now. I raised my arms over my head to stretch this a.m and realize I don't feel that padding I carried on my shoulders and neck any longer, it's quite liberating. Reinforces my efforts to keep going!

I know the scale has been dropping since March but I never noticed my size decreasing until yesterday. Clothing comes in SO many different sizes. A "skinny" 16 jeans might be a regular 18 in a different brand, a shirt that says 12-14 fits like a different brand 1X... I guess you find what fits and ignore the size tags.

I did not join the gang at lunch today to have Mexican because Friday is my best behavior day in anticipation of my Saturday weigh-in. I manage all week with Points but on Friday I eat very light and drink lots of water and even if it's one pound it is just the best thing to see on a Saturday morning! I hope the scale will…

I know what you mean - I thought menopause was taking over and it's sad to know I may have been too overweight for my body to behave normally.

I do!

LOL Me too! I was going to enter I have 12 pounds to Onederland! Good luck!

I'm 56 and for the first time in two years my period came back! I've lost 23 pounds - has anyone else experienced this? Got the pre-game cramps and everything. Sorry for the TMI guys.

I can relate to that and it's probably the reason I gained at THIS particular job. There is always something yummy in the break room. Yesterday it was applesauce cake with caramel frosting. I did sample it this morning, AND I counted it into my daily sheet - being accountable helps me realize my limits and now that I've…

Awesome work! I only weigh once a week - I could find I depress myself while it goes up and down during the course of a week. I have 12 pounds before I can see a "1" as the first number - can't wait!

I'm so sorry I didn't see your post until this a.m.! This is the skinny chicken cordon bleu recipe. I usually halve a chicken breast into a 3-4 oz fillet and pound it flat and then spread the Laughing Cow Swiss onto the chicken, lay a thin slice of low salt ham. Follow the recipe - you won't be disappointed. The Laughing…

Awesome accomplishment. I started in mid-March at 235 and I have 12 pounds to reach Onederland. Can't wait, you must be excited! :) Half way point - way to go!

Wow what a feeling! You must be proud of your accomplishment!

Wow! We are neck-and-neck. I started my new way of eating (My own generic WW Points Plus), and in 90 days I lost 23... I'm 56 and need to lose more than you but isn't it amazing when you look back and see how far you have come. Congratulations and much success to you on your journey!

I found PB2. Powdered peanut butter! According to WW points plus, I can have a 2 Tbsp serving for 1 point. I toast up a few slices of Sara Lee 45-cal bread (2 = 1 point), and I can have a yummy guilt-free snack.

.....hilarious !

I have cleared a spot in my spare room to stack empty butter boxes. One box of butter is one pound of fat. Today I was able to add No. 22 to the pile and it is amazing to see what 22 pounds of butter looks like and imagine having that much less volume on my body. Can't wait to see 50!
