It's an issue of convenience and it seems to last longer in the fridge. Unlike almond milk, soy milk does have protein so I'm not sure why you said it doesn't have any protein. Do you mean it's not naturally from the soybean? I like unsweetened almond milk but I don't think I'm going to attempt making my own almond milk…

Yeah. Carageenan, often found in plant-based "milks", is basically seaweed if I remember correctly, so it's not like it's ricin or aflatoxin. It's not going to kill you.

Ah it's a place in the UK - that'd explain why I have never heard of it. Thank you for clarifying. :3

'Butthurt' is a big one because it sounds like something a catty 14-year old would say to his or her fellow classmates. "What's a matter, bro? YOU BUTTHURT?"

I have never heard of this restaurant and looking on Google, it seems to be in one or two specific locations nowhere near where I live.

The cauliflower-based pizza crust tends to use a fair amount of cheese to hold it all together. I personally wouldn't recommend it if you're at all lactose intolerant (some people can tolerate cheese to an extent but the amount of cheese used in the crust could be problematic) or watching your fat intake. To me, Fat-free…

First off, how many calories are you allowing yourself on a daily basis?

Garbanzo beans, non-instant oatmeal, and 2 percent Greek yogurt.

You gotta be careful with fiber supplements since a lot of them contain insoluble fiber, which is bad for a lot of people with IBS. Especially the chewable ones since those also tend to have artificial sweeteners, which have a laxative effect. No good if you've got IBS-D. I personally have learned to avoid alcohol and…

I personally find consuming sugar at night makes me hungry an hour or two later. Maybe that's contributing to the problem a bit?

She's looking for foods to alleviate the cramps, not comfort food.

Stores like Whole Foods tend to carry it in the same area as the tofu. It's an insoluble fiber that comes from some type of yam, I think.

Especially if you make smacking noises with your mouth - that certainly doesn't help.

Peanut butter isn't that bad in terms of sugar if you buy an all-natural brand like Crazy Richard's instead of Jif or Skippy. The calorie counts for PB and almond butter are still pretty close - usually around 180 to 210 calories per two tablespoons and they mostly come from fat rather than sugar.

I was under the impression that meal replacement bars were mainly for people who didn't have enough time or resources (living in a Single Room Occupancy and not having a wide variety of cooking appliances, for example) to cook. Of course, I am sure there are people who consume them who fall outside of those categories.

Some kind of berry might not be too bad since they tend to be rather soft. Blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, or blackberries maybe? Cherry tomatoes are quite good, too.

This is a good idea. If dried fruit gives you gas, try looking for unsulphured varieties since that (sulphur) tends to be the culprit.

It's best to check online for recalls of any brands but know that buying raw milk always poses a risk, albeit not as significant as 50 years ago in Europe where the raw milk had to be boiled to kill the bacteria. For what it's worth, Whole Foods sold it for a short time but realized the financial risk was too big to keep…

Lychee isn't really a superfruit by any stretch of the imagination. Neither is mangosteen or acai, despite what some of those supplement marketers want you to think. In my opinion, most of the benefit from that sort of thing comes from a placebo effect where you feel good that you're doing something (taking the…

I personally am in love with Blue Diamond Unsweetened Almond Breeze. I get the refrigerated kind and at 30 calories per cup, it's worth every single calorie in my opinion. I'm somewhat lactose intolerant and I don't miss milk that much now that I have discovered almond milk.
